At first I was rather pleased with my new mower. The 25” cutting deck is awesome for faster mowing; even though my lawn is pretty small (only about 1/5 acre). I love how easily it starts and I also love how quiet it is.
However, there are four major issues thus far that I find troubling with it.
-The wheels will not go backward until 5-7 seconds after you’ve released the forward drive. So if you have to do under bushes and then pull it back, you have to awkwardly wait to pull back because they literally are locked up. Sooooo frustrating!
-The two bolts holding the handlebar in came loose after using it only 4-5 times. I lost one and need to find a replacement already, even though I tightened them very firmly when I first assembled the mower. That is a bad flaw for sure.
-The battery seems to not last long as it did when I got it just a few weeks ago. As of now this is just a feeling, but I will look into this and update the review if possible when I have timed the battery life.
-It doesn’t seem to have very sharp cutting blades. I find I’m constantly having to go over areas again because there are blades of grass that stick out of the already cut area.
I will reach out to the manufacturer in a few weeks to see if they can resolve any of these issues, but as of now I do not recommend this lawn mower.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Impressive mower. Very powerful and cuts my front and back yard in 20 minutes. Watch our for the turbo setting...you'll be going for a ride. This thing makes yard work fun!.
Very Happy with this Lawn mower. I have a hilly yard and this machine works very well. The adjustement is even. The self propelled wheel are speed adjustable. Great machine so far.
The mower works well and can mow my .25 acre lawn in one charge. The larger deck allows fewer passes and speeds up the job by nearly 30%. I love the movable handle that allows for upright storage. Only downside is that my dual battery charger no longer functions properly after a month of ownership. Good thing I have a single battery charger from my 13” string trimmer to use while I arrange a warranty replacement.
The light weight almost makes its self-propulsion unnecessary. Battery life has been good enough to last about four cuts for my modest lawn. Bagging performs very well, mulching - if the grass is not let go for too long - is also quite good. Noise is shockingly low compared to the gas mower I gave away. While that one always started on the first or second pull, it's delightful to have an instant-on mower. It's two-position handle also makes operation much more pleasant (in the upper position) for my 6' height.
I bought this because I already owned a 60V Greenworks Trimmer and Chainsaw. The mower works great, I have about a 1/3 of an acre and it uses the full two batteries. Sometimes I need to add a 3rd battery to finish up the end. This is not an issue because I have a 3rd battery. Also I could probably start charging the first depleted battery while using the 2nd if I needed to.
The only issue is when trying to backup the mower. It takes a little getting used to, you have to time the releasing of the self propel lever and when you want to backup to make a turn. If you don't do it correctly, the wheels will lock when pulling it backwards. I am getting better at it, works a little different then my previous self propelled mower. Previous mower, it was propelled by the front wheels so you could lift the front wheels off the ground when backing up. Since this is powered by the back wheels, you don't have the same option.
