It doesn't pick up the leaves only needs a small adjustment on the blades, the rest is perfect! Tools you need to do the adjustment: Strength Benchtop, Circular Saw and Adjustable wrench.
The machine is working very good. The blade height is limited a too much, it is missing the 1/2" settings. I found that the bag falls off frequently there is no way to lock it in place.
Bought this for the width and low maintenance. I was pleasantly surprised how it was so much more. I have a 1/2 acre of uneven terrain. A bit of it is uphill and it's so easy to mow now with the self propelled. It's very quiet, cuts great, and the battery life is great as well. Love that I don't have to do oil changes anymore and it's better for the environment. I've recommended this to my neighbors after they have seen how quick I can do my lawn now.
Really love the ease of use and comfortability. Battery life is as advertised. I can mow my .3 acre lot with about 1-1.5 battery charge. It's quieter than my gas mower for sure and so much easier to maintain. My only complaint is that it just doesn't make an even cut. Every pass I make I'm left with longer blades of grass left behind and I have to make additional passes. I never cut more than 1/3 of the grass height off. Currently using the mulching blades. I haven't tried using the max lift blades that come with, but it's my understanding that's supposed to be used for bagging, which I'm not looking to do (plus I don't want to drain the batteries faster).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello johndoe75
Thank you for your honest feedback! If the grass is too tall try raising the cutting height and reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. Hope this suggestion help!
