Great mower

Very fast. Very light. Was quick to adapt after using a gas mower for 30 years. Only complaint is learning how to release the acceleration handle soon enough that your rear wheels aren’t locked into position so you can pull the mower backwards. Plenty of battery life for my .3 acre yard. I think I could mow my yard 2-3 times before the battery would die.

Excellent mower

Have only used this three times so far but I like it a lot. Compared to my old gas mower it is certainly quieter, and the run time is more than adequate. In my experience the batteries will last over 45 minutes each when using a combination of self-propelled and intervals of “turbo” mode, which is plenty of time to mow my 1/4 to 1/3 acre lot (minus the home footprint and driveway/patio). I do wish the mower had more lift/power, as it seems to leave blades of grass laying down and longer/uncut even when they are well within the swath of the blades, but I have not yet tried the high-lift blades that are included in the package, so this may significantly improve this one complaint.

We love this mower! So quiet, so light, and only uses 1 of its 2 batteries on a 1/4 acre lawn. Clippings are small and no missed grass blades sticking up.

I saw this on the website and knew I had to have it. I’d been using a 20” for the last several years and was very pleased but this 25” self propelled has made my life much easier. Easier to store. Batteries charge quickly and last quite a while. One fully charged battery will do my whole yard. Bag is a good size and with the high lift blades does a very good job even on wet grass.

First and Best Cordless Lawn Mower

This was my first purchase of a battery operated lawn mower. I was skeptical, UNTIL I used it and I couldn’t be happier. Very easy to setup and get ready. Easy to maneuver and user. Great and easy controls. Good power for mowing tall grass. If you have really tall thick grass, the turbo mode works great. I have .25 of an acre and it only uses a single battery. The second is install and ready to us if needed. Does a much better job than my Lawn Boy!! Great all around lawn mower. Recommend to anyone.

Junk
on September 6, 2021

I honestly can’t believe these reviews are for the same mower I am about to return. It was more frustrating to use than my broken down gas mower it was supposed to replace. The longest run time I got was 15 minutes. On one occasion when I put the battery on the charger it would blink red after 15 minutes use in 70 degree weather. The grass was not long. My first time cutting was early in the morning and the mower was constantly clogging up and shutting off. I tried again another day when the grass was dry. Same deal. Each time this happens it leaves a huge pile of grass behind. The grass it did cut was very uneven with clippings on top. This mower does nothing close to “mulching”. The issue with the wheels locking up when you back up and turn is not as some reviews refer to as “ something you get used to” it is a design flaw. I thought a recommendation from Popular Mechanics was an indication of a good product. I will never consider them for a purchase again and I will never deal with your company. Again this mower is a piece of junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello TKen,

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this lawn mower.
It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life! This unit is advertised as running up to 80 minutes of continuous run-time* with two included 4.0 Ah batteries, but it goes without saying that that the harder the unit works, the quicker the battery drains.
Here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time.
1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings.
2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months.
3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily.
4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.
Lastly, regarding the wheels locking when pulling back on the mower, that is a safety feature that UL requires. To prevent wheel lockup simply push the mower slightly forward after releasing the self-propel lever before pulling backwards on the mower. We hope this information helps you understand our product better, and perhaps encourages you to give it a second chance!
