This mower is fabulous! Super easy to use, quiet, and does a great job. The batteries charge quickly, and last a long time. I am very pleased with this mower!
I replaced a 6hp gas powered mower with this 25” self propelled battery powered Greenworks machine. I couldn’t be happier. Really mulches the grass to a fine cut that stuffs the bag completely. Only two full loads versus 4 in my old mower. Much easier and safer to handle in our steep terrain. Great cut quality.
I am very happy with my new mower. Turbo mode powers through when I let it go too long between cutting or when I am mulching leaves. Plenty of power and the wider deck takes my cutting time to under an hour.
Only downside is the cut is not the best. Okay if you are laid back like me.
I like how the mower operates, and overall it is cleverly designed and easy to use. One thing to note, though, is that the cutting swath is actually only 24 inch, rather than 25. And the standard blades don’t provide enough suction for a clean cut of any grass that isn’t upright. The track of the front wheels should be narrowed; their paths line up with the edge of the cutting blades, and without good suction from them, they don’t pull up the grass that has been matted down by the wheels. Unfortunately I can’t track down the highlift blades to see if they’ll fix any of this. If it turns out the highlift blades do indeed resolve the issue, I’ll change this to a five star rating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello,
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your honest feedback! The deck is 25" but the cutting swath is slightly less as this allows the blades to rotate. We apologize for any confusion. We are working to obtain the high lift blades but right now, they are not available to purchase separately. This unit has innovative Smart Cut technology which adjusts the power or runtime based on the thickness of your grass. The unit can detect where more power is needed and when it might not be a requirement. The two blades are supposed to create a vacuum-like effect that pulls the grass to the blades to be cut which eliminates the possibility of a strip being left behind in between the blades. A sharp blade will greatly enhance the performance of the mower, especially when cutting high grass. Be sure to check the blades and sharpen them or replace them at least once per year. Here are a few other tips to achieve a cleaner cut: 1) Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 of the total length at a time. 2) Ensure that the grass is dry when mowing. 3) Alternate mowing patterns each time you mow. As grass develops a grain based on your cutting direction it will lean towards the direction of your mowing path. Changing the pattern allows better vertical growth and helps to keep the cut neater. For best results keep the grass under 4" in length and walk at a slow but steady pace to allow the blades to cut efficiently. We hope these tips will help you with the issues you have encountered! Plenty of power and nice wide cut radius. I have 1/3 acre, and haven't even come close to needing one battery, yet alone two. Missing a bolt to connect the handle when arrived, but greenworks had it here in two days. Problems inevitably happen, it's how you solve them that matters. Nicely done Greenworks!
