Moved up from a 40V 21” Greenworks to this. Great power. Easily handles my medium sized yard without charging (even running on turbo mode the whole time). Reduced my mowing time from 1 1/2 hours to 1 hour and the self propelled feature helps with that also.

I just got back in from mowing my hilly connecticut yard, loaded with weeds and various types of grasses (live near a preserve and watershed so i don't use anything on my lawn and let it mostly just do its thing). this thing was incredible in every since scenario it faced.
PROS:
- the extra width makes a difference. you're basically getting a free pass every 4th pass.
This mower makes the job fast. Provided the machine stands up to the test of time, they have a serious winner on their hands on this fact alone.
- the deck height level toggle is the easiest and most effective i have ever used on a mower
- charge time was amazing. (maybe 1.5 hours at most?)
- folds neatly and takes up little space for such a large mower
- self propelling feature is as powerful as you need it. even the steepest hills on my property were handled with no issues whatsoever
- run time was excellent. handled just under an acre of mowing no issues. you'll want to be sparing with the self propell so as to ensure a complete job on one charge.
- tires are well sized with excellent traction
- center of gravity is amazing on this this thing. other mowers can feel tippy at times, this thing was planted in even the craziest scenarios.
- the dog always barked at my other mowers (even my previous electric one). the dog didn't seem to mind this one at all. weird but cool PRO.
- looks cool but not obnoxiously futuristic.
- effortlessly cuts through even dense grass. I didn't once detect the machine choking on antyhing, even in spots that had slightly damp 7 or 8 inch grass.
- I used to have a john deere lawn tractor to handle our near acre lawn, but ended up selling it because of the hilly terrain. I can honestly say that i would never go back to a lawn tractor again after using this mower. the walk was nice, and i got the job done in almost the same amount of time as the lawn tractor. if you are on the fence between a lawn tractor and a mower, give this one some serious consideration for nearly the best of both worlds, with a 10th the storage space required.
-thanks for the metal deck. Too many electric mowers are resorting to plastic for such an important part of the design. this is a safety issue, and it is appreciated that greenworks made the right call here.
CONS
-rear tires are quite large and can tear up the ground if you turn it too quickly while the self propeller is engaged
-i thought the self propelled throttle plastic was a little cheap. maybe this is too prevent painful pinching, but i hope it lasts cause it feels like toy calibre plastic.
-doesn't mulch anything very well, so i think you'll want to go with a higher deck height so as not to leave too much grass behind. Although this is an obvious con, I felt like i got more run time as a tradeoff, since the machine wasnt wasting time chewing up grass allowing me to move a lot quicker.
-odd and unsettling grinding noise (albeit brief) on startup 1 out of 5 times.
- you'll want to take care to avoid any kind of rocks or big roots. while the mower deck is metal, it ain't your grandfathers metal. the mower, is strong, but its not as strong as mowers from 10 or 15 years ago that's for sure, so just be aware that you cant be bull in a china shop with these things.

I wish this came in an 80 amp version. This is a good product. Very happy. Clearly not as durable as I have had in mowers but still for just cutting grass it is great. I would but it again. Pro v 25 inch the width matters. It cut my mowing time by 20% and it is lighter too. Very nice machine.

I'm pleasantly surprised and more than happy with the performance of this machine. Much better than I thought it could be and way better than the last 26" HD Beast that didn't last but one season. I'm able to cut my lawn, see pictures in just over 1/2 hour on one battery. It does a really good job. I haven't tried bagging yet and probably won't. It's a great machine so far and very easy to use.

I like the 25" mower a lot and it does a great job! The batteries last longer than the time it takes to cut my lawn and they recharge quickly. Lots of power! Instead of a slow OR fast self-propel speed, however, I wish there were a variable control to adjust the speed at which it travels. Slow is too slow and fast is too fast when the batteries are fully charged. Overall, I think it is a great product.

I hardly ever provide reviews (but am always happy to read helpful reviews). I am submitting this and writing everything I like to look for in reviews, hopefully this helps you in your decision to buy this or not.
I have used the mower a couple times, so more time needed for true robustness testing.
We live in MN, the mowing season usually lasts May-October, with mostly leaf pickup in the end.
Our LOT is rated at 1/3 acre, BUT...we have an in-ground pool, and of course a house and driveway, trees, bushes, etc. I'd put the turf area at about 10,000 ft2. With a gas mower, 21" deck, it typically took about 90 minutes, but that includes time to pick up the back yard, where the dogs roam freely, among other things. So, truly 75 minutes mowing time.
Upon using this mower, all I can say is "Wow!" It's light, fairly quiet (mowed with ear buds, no problem hearing the music). It's less noisy than your average vacuum cleaner, if you want a point of reference. And in some regards, kind of sounds like one.
Operation is easy and intuitive. There are paddle "switches" on both sides of the center power engagement module (I made that up, but thats what it is), and the mower only needs one side to run (handy when making turns or going under/around bushes).
The LEDs automatically come on and can be helpful if you get a late start on the job.
Self-drive is well done, and easily adjusted by a slider to your desired speed. There's a slight lag when it's activated, but rack that up to a first-world problem and get used to it.
Cut is decent, only drawback is blade weight (more on that later). But, they give you two blades...brilliant!!!
And two batteries. My overall cut time and battery performance were a very good match - I do need battery #2 to finish, but only just for about 5-10 minutes. I then charge #1 and have an almost full charge on both for the next time. Not sure how it knows which to use first, but mine is using the left first. So, switch before starting? Not sure on that one...Anyway, it can probably mow up to a 1/2 acre, with typical yard obstructions.
Height adjustment is very easy as promised. One annoying thing: it does rattle over bumpy ground, and almost feels like it will pop out of its height setting, but so far this has not happened.
The drawbacks, and what makes it a 4 star rating (but does anything deserve a 5 star rating?):
1. The "Turbo" button is pretty much a gimmick. I tried it, whirred faster for a bit then dialed back down. Not really sure what logic controls it, but so far not very impactful. Maybe when you get into really tall grass? Hopefully others can expand on this topic.
2. Although you get 2 blades, which is to be commended, the blades are a very light grade of metal, at least compared to gas mowers. I'm dreading if/when I nick any rocks with it, as we have river rock in some parts of our landscaping. Pretty sure it won't be good...time will tell. Probably a power saving decision on the part of the manufacturer.
Will update with more use, but I do recommend this mower to anyone considering a battery powered unit. When done mowing, one thing I did not anticipate: being clean! No smell from spent fuel, or dust, my ears not impacted and hands not irritated from the vibrating gas monster. It was...pleasant to smell the fresh cut grass and only fresh cut grass (OK, and the hops from my beer).
I did pick up the mower for far cheaper than advertised here at "The Co"...but there you need a membership. BUT, the savings more than paid for that membership cost. Call to check on availability...hopefully they keep them in stock.
So glad I got this mower...no looking back to gas!
I would recommend this to a friend!
