Very Impressed with Power and Battery Life

It was time to purchase a new lawn mower that was easy enought for my wife to use. I did not want to deal with storing gas for the mower and it had to be easy to start and operate. Greenworks 60V 25in Dual Blade Self Propelled Mower simply works. After unboxing the only assembling it needed 2 bolts put into the handle and to insert the mulching plug fully (was in place but not fully clipped into place) and that was all. My wife was able to mow our entire 1/4 acre lot utilizing only one of the two batteries and still had 40-50 percent battery life left once completed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Used the mower for the first time and it is great! Easy to assemble, great handle height compared to other mowers, stores nicely with the fold down handle, plenty of power as well.

Love our new mower - really ideal for our 1/2 acre property. Good battery life - haven't run into any issues yet. Love the mulch, bag & throw options, lots of cut height options, and NASCAR like self propulsion - highest speed is actually too fast for practical! Maneuverability is good, except when pulling back, which I guess is to be expected for a mower with a. propulsion system - pushing it up on the front wheels before pulling back seems to work. Love the ability to fold and store vertically.

I haven’t cut my own grass in 14 years because I hated noisy gas mowers. This mower has a battery to charge, just like my phone or laptop! It’s very quiet for such a powerful mower, and dropping in the battery couldn’t be easier.

Decided to make the jump to an electric mower from a gas self-propelled mower that I’ve had for nearly 9 years. I usually cut my grass after work and having to check the oil, add gas, prime it, and hope it starts depending on ambient air temp and humidity got tiresome. Having a mower that I can throw a battery in and go seemed like something worth trying.
Should’ve done it sooner. It’s AWESOME. I’m in action in seconds. It’s quiet - weird hearing the grass being cut. The RWD self-propelled is a lot better than my FWD Toro this replaced - it just goes when I need it to. I don’t use the self propelled function most of the time as the mower is easy to push and most of my property is pretty flat.
What I like about this mower:
• Ease of use
• Sturdy steel deck
• Quiet
• Deck height adjustment mechanism is fantastic
• The folding function of the handle with no wires or rods getting hung up
• Compact in my garage when folded and stored upright
• Standing it upright to clean the caked-on grass out of the deck
• RWD with plenty of traction and helps it turn while going uphill
• 5.0 battery lasts plenty long for me but having another port is nice incase I use my mower elsewhere
• It looks pretty cool - color and design
• Ease of use

What I don’t like:
• High output mode doesn’t seem to deactivate on its own. When it runs into thick grass, it kicks motor speed up, but once through it, it stays at that higher speed. I find myself having to shut the motor off and back on to return to the normal motor speed - which happens a few times while mowing.
• No pads on the frame for standing the mower upright for storage. I added my own - I would rather have some sort of rubber pad or something there to prevent scratching the steel bare which will cause surface rust.
• The triggers for the mower and self-propel are a little flimsy in feel. They work, but maybe could be better.
• The handle bar could be a bit tighter.
• The mulching block piece that fits in the back of the deck is a bit loose.
• Headlights can’t be turned off - a little thing, I know.

this thing is soooooooo awesome to use, with the easy start and everything. i have a large and "hilly" yard, so the self-propel version i have really is right on the money. one thing i noticed that i didn't expect is that sometimes i hear the rpm go up if it needs extra power for a "hard" spot, which is nice. also, with the 60v, 5amp-hour battery, i can cut with my large hilly yard, then use it on the edger and then on the blower and still have 2 bars left. it's awesome.
