Has great power. I have a decent hill in my backyard that I had to push my gas powered self propelled. My new greenworks mower requires no additional assistance. I have an average association neighborhood yard and I can mow it on one of the 4 amp hour batteries.

Cut quality is disappointing but overall a good mower

The cut quality is disappointing where the mower did not cut grass evenly despite multiple passes. Having two rechargeable batteries is a plus which effectively allow "unlimited" mowing time because you can use one battery while charging the other. Another plus is the 25-ince mowing deck which saves time. Finally, the variable speed self-propelled feature is very nice because it makes mowing effortless. If the cut quality improves, I would give this lawn mower five stars.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We are sorry to read that you are not completely satisfied with the lawnmower. Try raising the cutting height. Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 of the total length at a time. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. This will help with the stress on the mower and will help the grass stay healthy! Additionally, only mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily.

Excellent mower, two tweaks away from perfection

This is an excellent lawnmower. I previously had to other electric battery powered lawnmowers, and this is much better. The 25 inch deck is very nice and cuts a wider path than the average deck. The two counter rotating blades also seem to cut very well. The overall quality of the mower is excellent, including the steel deck and the handles. It fold up easily and is easy to maneuver. The dual port design is very good since you can put two batteries in there. I do wish that it came with five or six amp batteries instead of the four amp. Generally, the battery life is pretty good and I can get through my 1/3 acre lawn without having to recharge, but a little extra battery capacity for higher or damp grass would be nice. The only other downside is that The mower speed is not very fast. In the specs, it says it goes 3.3 mph. That may be possible on pavement, but mowing grass gets you at about a 25 minute mile pace on the fastest speed, which is under 2.5 mph. Walking behind it feels very slow even at full speed (rabbit). If it had a top speed of about 4 mph, it would be ideal. Overall, I am extremely satisfied and with just a little bit more battery capacity and faster speed, it would be perfect.

Great mower but lack of available repair parts is absurd.

Mower was given to my by my son when he moved out of state and no longer needed it. It was two years old. After two more years of my using it, during which it worked great, the mower became quite noisy. Eventually the nylon gears in the drive mechanism wore out. Not a problem, I am perfectly willing to do my own repair, pay for parts, what ever it takes. Gears are not available. Entire drive assembly is not available. There are no replacement parts available to repair this mower. I have the two batteries that came with the unit, plus one more that I purchased, and a second drop in charger. Along with a non working mower, all of which are useless to me. My green-energy, emission-free lawnmower is about to get dropped off at the landfill. Money spent is gone.
I cannot possibly recommend a lawnmower if you aren't able to get parts for it. It is very irresponsible for a company to import an item and not provide parts.

Awesome power

This is the best lawnmower hands down. We were very satisfied with the greenworks pro dual blade lawnmower. It made cutting our lawn a breeze the perfect cut every time. The self propelled feature was the best it shaved about 30 minutes off of our yard work. The batteries stay charged for a long time. All I can say is EXCELLENT craftsmanship and DURABILITY and PERFORMANCE we are very satisfied customers.

Powerful 60V Mower!

Recently I have purchased this mower and it's proven it was the right choice. It's powerful dual blades can cut through the thickness of yards. with grace and a engine that doesn't produce the nosie as a gas,it works with more than enough power to compare to other mowers. With a 25in steel cutting deck it greatly reduced the amount it took me to service my yard as well. I'm greatly satisfied with this machine.
