I am using the mower on a 1/4 acre lot. This is one of the fastest mowers I have owned. The 25 inch has cut 20 minutes off the time it takes with a 21 inch mower. It still has half the charge on the second battery when the lawn has been cut.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Greenworks Pro-60-volt SP 25" Dual Blade Mower was easy to assemble and maneuver onto my backyard grass, which really needed cutting. Placing the batteries and grass bag didn't require great skill because the instructions were not difficult to follow, and the batteries charged up quickly. The Greenworks mower was easy to start and stopping it proved the Greenworks Pros ease of functionality and well made product. I cut my yard quickly and effectively, the Greenworks mower got the job done exactly as I expected. I highly recommend the new Greenworks Pro - 60-volt SP 25" Dual Blade Mower with one 4 Ah and one 2 Ah Battery, Charger!

I am very happy with my new mower. Turbo mode powers through when I let it go too long between cutting or when I am mulching leaves. Plenty of power and the wider deck takes my cutting time to under an hour.
Only downside is the cut is not the best. Okay if you are laid back like me.

No hassle, no gas fumes...pull the handle and push a button...that is all it takes! Self-propelled feature is powerful - takes some getting used to, but is much appreciated.

Awful service and four gears are plastic

Bought this 11 months ago, accidentally hit a small 1 inch stump and blades stopped rotating. In hoping there was an easy fix I took off the top to find 1 of the 4 plastic gears had cracked into 4 pieces and clearly was not going to catch. I was hoping to find a plastic gear that I could easily reinstall and make the mower functional again. When calling Greenworks they told me taking it apart voided the warranty and they could not help me I have to buy an entirely new lawn mower. They told me I can't get a replacement gear to repair it either even when I offered to buy this. Absolutely absurd that an "environmentally" oriented company wants me to throw away a perfectly usable mower rather than replace a 4 inch circular plastic gear. If you have this mower, it's only a matter of time before one of these plastic gears breaks, or something else, on you and they tell you to throw it away because it can't be fixed and you need to buy a new one. What a waste of plastic and materials, an environmentally conscious company would want to customers to be able to fix and reuse their mower.
Pros: Quiet, Environmentally Safe

Dear Matt29,
We're sorry to hear of this unfortunate event. While this unit is designed to have some resilience, there is no guarantee that damage will not occur if a rock or other hard object is struck. For best practice and to ensure that the unit remains damage-free, remove all obstacles such as rocks and tree limbs prior to mowing. Purchased about a month ago, have used 4 times so far and very happy with it. Takes about an hour to mow my lawn and still have about half of one battery still left. Nice not having to deal with gas and oil also! I believe anyone purchasing this will not be disappointed.

The future ...Great update to a gas powered mower!

Great lawnmower! Easy to assemble and easy to use... especially with the self propel feature! I have mowed my 1/2 acre several times and it has yet to even need to go to the second onboard battery. I use it on St. Augustine grass as a mulching mower. My only issue is that even though I run the self propel at just above the "turtle" setting so that the blades have plenty of time to cut, it does not cut every blade of grass and sometimes leaves excess cut grass on the surface that needs another cut over to eliminate. Not really so much that I would give up on the mower. The fact that it is very quiet compared to a gas operated mower, does not need fuel and oil changes, is VERY low maintenance and can be store folded and vertical taking very little floor space makes it a keeper. Expecting many years of service from the brushless motors AND ESPECIALLY the batterys. Don't even want to know what purchasing replacement batterys will cost anytime soon...

Wide Cut Path Saves Time; Plenty of Power
on November 18, 2023

Pros: --Powerful. Cuts nice and clean. Cuts cleaner than the gas mower it's replacing. --Wide cutting path. Less time needed for the job. --Extra set of blades in the box. --2 4ah batteries. If not using the self-propel function, 1 battery sufficient to cover 1/6 acre in an adverse setting: tall, wet grass, and mower height set low (3). Two batteries more than sufficient to cover 1/3 acre. --automatic front light. Cons --No Side Discharge. This was a surprise. However, I seldom, if ever, have used this feature, so not at all a problem to me, though it might be to others. --Small Chamber for Mulching. This is a byproduct of the design, which incorporates two shorter blades that work side by side to achieve the 25" cut width. Smaller chamber means that it can fill up with grass clippings faster and potentially create the choking condition. Especially on wet grass. --when one battery ran out of juice, there was no seamless transition to the other battery. In other words, the cutting stopped and needed to be started back again. I intend to recreate this scenario and confirm one more time before contacting support for advice. That there would be automatic and seamless transition of power from one battery to the other, so that there would be no interruption to the operation, was my understanding based on the company's own promotional video. REVIEW: Have had Greenworks 60v trimmer and blower for more than 3 years, and have been happy with their performance. Easy choice, then, to look to the Greenworks 60v platform for a replacement mower when the gas mower finally made its last call. The 25" cutting width was the other draw for me, and it doesn't disappoint. Mower arrived in the afternoon, and, after charging the batteries, went to test the mower the same evening. It got dark pretty soon, and two aspects of the mower became immediately clear: one, it's much quieter than the gas mower; and, two, the front headlights that illuminate the path forward is a very, very nice feature! Made it possible to continue mowing in the dark. Initially made the mistake of setting the mower height too low at 2, on wet and tall grass, and experienced choking. That's operator error. Recovered from the situation by changing the cut height to 3 and also removing the mulching block. In hindsight, it appears that 3 would be the right height for late fall/winter mowing in my case. No more choking stops after that. Cuts nice and clean. And also mulches well even with the mulching block removed. Very satisfying to go over a blanket of fallen leaves and watch the leaves simply disappear. In the fall, when the leaves fall, instead of bagging them, I mulch them on the spot with the mower. Have been doing this for several years, and I believe the grass has been the better because of this practice. This mower did a great job in that respect. Plenty of power to pull up leaves embedded in the grass. Nice clean carpet of grass is all that remains after the job is done. The wider cut width means the job gets done faster. One hour and done, versus hours of raking and bagging, and free fertilizer for the grass is bonus. This mower passes the most important test for me. I hope it passes longevity and durability tests.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful
