Quiet and wide cut

Replaced my gas mower with this one for the extra 4" cutting width and the simplicity of batteries. The dual blade design keeps the mower smaller front to back while getting a nice wide cut. It is very quiet. My wife no longer hears me from inside. Rear wheel drive is nice for the hills. It is definitely not as strong as my gas mower and if you were cutting thick and tall grass regularly I don't think you would be thrilled. For normal cutting on Bluegrass it is doing a good job.

The batteries used the first time mowing was 1 1/4 packs; the second time I lowered the deck and it took 2 1/4 packs and once I determined the right deck height and speed setting (about 1/2), it consistently requires 1 1/4 packs of batteries for approximately 6500 square feet of Saint Augustine & Bahia mix. The blades maintain sharpness after 5 mowings. It is easy maintenance, cleaning and storage plus there is no smell and it is relatively quiet. Overall I rate this mower 5 of 5 stars!!!

I originally had the 80v version but wanted to get a self propelled due to the size of my lawn. Went with this 60v and it’s been great! I like that both batteries are onboard and I am able to do my full yard on a single battery even with using the self propelled feature. I see there are complaints about the delay on being able to backup signed using self propelled and it happens but I just release its second or two before I need to backup and have no issues. Just needed to adjust to the way it works.

Fantastic for a large or medium yard. Cut my mow time way down with the extra width. Power is strong and batteries last plenty long enough to use in a string trimmer to finish a nice mow. And can't beat no cord and no stinky gas.

Expensive Piece of Junk

I bought this in early 2021 to mow my small yar - less than a 1/4 acre of bermuda grass. From the beginning it had trouble getting through it, but usually I was able to do half the yard at a time. Now towards the end of the 2nd season two fully charged batteries will not get through just half. It conks out every few yards and today could not finish - I have a large obvious strip left to do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Bobs Electric Trash,

We are sorry to hear about the experience you have encountered with this battery. The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life. Please know that our batteries are covered by the manufacturer's warranty as stated in the owner’s manual period from the date of purchase.
Should you continue to experience a problem with the battery and charger, please contact Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934.
All we ask that you have access to the battery and charger so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

Pro 60V 25” Brushless Cordless Self-Propelled Lawn

Before I purchase this battery powered mower I had a 21 inch gas power mower. It would cut 100% of the grass with one pass every 21” step over. This electric mower cuts 90% of the grass in one pass. It leaves grass blades here and there.
Response from greenworkstools.comBy GreenworksCustomer CareAugust 30, 2022
Hello Veni,

Thank you for your feedback! Sorry to hear you are not satisfied with the cut of this lawn mower. The cause of streaking could be the way the user mows, but it also may be the result of some generally causes that create this problem. Overlapping each pass in the lawn you make with the lawnmower allows the mowing blades to contact each blade of grass and ensures no areas are missed. The overlap need not be very large. Overlapping by only 1 or 2 inches is enough. As you complete a pass and make your turn for the next one, line up the mower’s wheels with the indentation the wheels made during the previous pass.
Another suggestion to take into consideration, a clean mowing deck. Over the course of the mowing season, the underside of the mower’s deck collects dirt, mud, and grass clippings. Even if you mow your grass when it’s dry, the blades still attract some moisture, which tends to make grass clippings clump underneath the deck. This debris hampers both air and grass clipping movement inside the deck. Streaking could be one indication that the deck needs cleaning. With the battery removed or mower unplugged check the underside. Scrape off grass, mud and dirt clinging to the deck by using a wired brush be careful not to cut your hands on the mower blades.
Hoping these suggestion help. If you have any follow up questions, or concerns we urge you to contact Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934 for further assistance, we are happy to help.
