25" of QUICKNESS

I have BOTH the 21" and the 25". I originally bought the 21" thinking that everything was good. I quickly found out that my yard is much larger than I had thought. SO, I recently bought the 25" and went from a 2 hour job to a hour and 15 min job. It saved me 45 min a week on the yard. Sometimes even TWICE a week because my grass in some areas loves to grow. If you are debating on this machine or another GET THIS ONE. It handles a lot and saves a ton of time because it is so wide!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The perfect lawnmower!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a female, I have never put my hands on a lawn mower do to being scared pulling the string, I definitely needed a machine that would start easily and I found it! This lawnmower was super easy to assemble and ready to go in minutes. I was so elated when I pushed the button, held the handle and had it running within minutes. It's super easy to adjust and it glided easily over roughs hills, terrain, and weeds. For it being a battery operated machine I absolutely love it. It is so powerful and gets the job done just beautifully! It can be easily stored untill next use. I definitely recommend this lawnmower to anyone including the beautiful ladies!

“This Is The One!”

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never thought I’d ever say I love my lawn mower, but my new Greenworks 60V 25in Dual Blade Self Propelled Mower is amazing! To start with, the only assembling it needed right out of the box was 2 bolts put into the handle and that was it! The included instruction manual was very easy to follow. It’s definitely a plus having dual batteries which enables me to finish my yard without recharging. I also like that I can adjust my cutting height simply by moving the adjustment lever. This Greenworks Mower makes my lawn practically effortless! Being self propelled the mower is so easy for me to maneuver. I was done with my yard in no time. I truly recommend this product!

Light weight. Good mulching. Quiet. Surprisingly fun

I bought the self propelled 25" in June of 2020. I have a little under 1/2 arce of suburban lawn that is about 50% hilly with some over 30% grades. I needed a reliable self-propelled because of a knee problem. My older heavy self-propelled gas mower needed bi-annual (expensive) drive wheel replacements to be useful.
Pros (in no specific order)
1. Everything is easy: Easy to do the minor assembly needed out of the box, easy to start, to change from mulching mode to bagging mode, to change and charge the batteries.
2. Two self-propelled speeds. One very slow (which is ok by me) one fairly fast. The self propelled feature seems to work equally as well on flat areas as it does on hills. I noticed no drop in speed moving from flat to hill.
3. Light weight: Even with the two heavy-ish batteries in place the mower is probably half the weight of a comparible gas powered mower. The light weight meant I could push it more without the self-propelled assist.
4. really like the easy verticle storage configuration.
5. Low(er) noise. The mower sounds like a hair drier on medium-high when running. Much better than the gas powered but not as quiet as you might think. My family inside my house can't hear it. It lets me cut grass at earlier times (I have close neighbors) without bothering anyone.
6. Mulches a-little better than my gas mower.
7. 25 inch deck: My old mower had a 21" cut. I was surprised how the addition of 4" to the cutting path shortened the back and forth cut times.
8. Its green. I feel better not using gas - thats why I bought it. My old gas mower seem to be a gussler. I don't mind working with the limitations of batteries.
9. I like figuring out how to extend the battery run time. This is difficult to explain to non-battery people. If you own a hybrid or electric car - it is not completely brainless - there is always an element of figuring out how far you can go. This comes into play with an electric mower. This would be a pain for some and a challenge for others.
10. Seemless transition between the batteries when in operation
Cons:
1. Batteries: see number 9 above. Althought it would be great if they lasted for a couple hours- the fact is the run time is limited - especially if you use the self-propelled function and have a hilly yard. I would imagine on a flat yard with no self-propelled assist you might get 50-60 minutes of run, I get less because of the hills - (40 minutes). I don't care if I cut my grass in successive outings due to needing to charge the batteries. If I move quickly and modulate when I use the self-propelled I can finish my yard on a single charge.
2. battery charging time. A completely discharged battery will take around two hours to charge back up. The nature of batteries I guess. But it is nice that the charger automatically turns off when done charging.
3. Battery charger noise. The fan on the charger when charging is surprisingly noisy - possibly more that the mower. I don't really care because its in the garage - but it seemed odd.

Cut quality… horrendous!!!!!!

I’ve used this mower multiple times and the quality of the cut is terrible. In the middle of the cut it will leave high blades of grass sticking up. I’ve tried using both sets of blades they send with the mower but neither result in a good cut. I’ve never used a mower that has performed this poorly. I’ve been on hold with customer service for over an hour and I have still not gotten through to an agent. My biggest mistake was thinking this brand would produce a good mower. Go with a proven brand, this brand has a long way to go.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quiet

Hello FastEddy412,

Greenworks has been in the lawn care industry for over 20 years and our products are one of the most popular and reliable on the market with an unmatched warranty. We're sorry to hear you're having cut quality issues. We'd like to offer some cutting tips that may help you:

1. Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 at a time.
2. Mow when grass is dry.
3. Mow in the morning or late afternoon to reduce the heat stress on newly cut grass.
4. Alternate mowing patterns each time you mow. As grass develops a grain based on your cutting direction it will lean towards the direction of your mowing path. Changing the pattern allows better vertical growth and helps to keep the cut neater.
5. New or thick grass may require a narrow cutting path.
6. For the best results keep the lawn under 4" in length and walk at a steady pace to allow the blades to cut efficiently.

Hope this helps!

I bought this mower over 3 years ago and it ran great with no issues. The batteries are still going strong!!
Recently a small gear in the transmission box wore out causing the blades to knock together. The warranty covered the issue and they replaced the mower! Customer service was great and the warranty is outstanding!
Pros: Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Durable, Effective

Electric over Gas
on February 28, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always used a gas mower but I finally upgraded to electric. Hands down, bar none will never go back. I'll take it from the top - assembly is incredibly easy. 5 minutes. The batter charger automatically turns off and it doesnt take long to charge. The reasons this is worth every penny:
1. 60V mower will easily handle 12,000 SF yards on one charge
2. No more gas, oil, maintenance, etc.
3. Light weight, self propelled, folds up in a jiffy
4. 25" is a great cutting radius + dual blades = high efficiency
5. 60V is enough power for long grass. It won't hack it with way overgrown grass unless you go very slowly.
6. Mulches lawn as you cut!

Very Impressed with Power and Battery Life

It was time to purchase a new lawn mower that was easy enought for my wife to use. I did not want to deal with storing gas for the mower and it had to be easy to start and operate. Greenworks 60V 25in Dual Blade Self Propelled Mower simply works. After unboxing the only assembling it needed 2 bolts put into the handle and to insert the mulching plug fully (was in place but not fully clipped into place) and that was all. My wife was able to mow our entire 1/4 acre lot utilizing only one of the two batteries and still had 40-50 percent battery life left once completed.
