Purchase a year ago, and I've given this thing every chance I can, I'll be selling it as soon as I get a gas mower back in the garage. I really wish I had been more realistic in what's it capable of handling in the 30 trail period, I should have sent it back. I live in SW Florida, they use a lot of Bermuda and Bahia grass down here. It just can't deal with thicker lawns, they should state this so its obvious at the time of checkout. After dealing with Customer Service, in the end, they just told me my lawn is too thick for this type of mower.
Even with freshly sharpened blades, it tears the grass about as much as it cuts it and this is with freshly charged batteries and the turbo button engaged. I wasn't asking too much, or so I think. I was only taking 1/3 (1-2" of grass) of the grass height on the 2nd to the highest setting on the mower. If you cut at the highest, the quality is terrible as there isn't enough lift generated by the blades. At this rate, I would have to cut my lawn 3 times a week when my neighbors gas mower have enough grunt to get the job done once a week with the same grass type.
Maybe its a design issue with the blades as they rotate towards each other.
Either way I'll be moving back to gas. Nothing against electric mowers, this just isn't the right tool for the job or grass down here I guess.

Hello Mr Homes,
Thank you for sharing your experience with this lawn mower. We greatly appreciate your honest feedback as it gives us a better understanding of where we need to improve moving forward. We are sorry to hear that the unit has not fully met your expectations. Greenworks designed this with a brushless motor that is based off our 60V platform. This means more power and longer run times. One cool aspect to this mower is the Smart Cut load-sensing Technology which means it is not always running full speed. If the mower senses a thicker part of the lawn or needs more power, automatically senses load & ramps from 2800-3200 RPM, when more power is needed. This not only helps the mower get through tough conditions, but also helps save on battery and provides a longer run time. We hope that you will give us another chance in the future! The lawnmower works great until you need replacement blades and no one has had them in stock in 2023. I keep being told that they will be available soon and that is never the case.

I've been using this for 2 weeks and one of my complaints is the size of catcher. It's much too small for a 25 inch cutting width. The manufacturer's box states that it comes with set of high lift blades which is untrue. The extra blades are identical in size, shape and part number. The mulching capability is not good due to the clippings are not fine enough. Supposedly the high-blades will do a better job but as I stated above, none was provided. The batteries do hold a very good charge and the motor is pretty light and east to use.
Pros: Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Powerful

I have used the 25 inch mower in central Florida for 4 years now, and it has performed well. Sometimes the wheels lock when backing up, but it quickly resolves when I move forward a few inches. I mow 1/3 of an acre and have never had an inadequate supply of power. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this mower again if I needed to. Plus, the wider deck enables me to make 20% fewer passes. It handles tall grass also.
I’ve used this mower multiple times and the quality of the cut is terrible. In the middle of the cut it will leave high blades of grass sticking up. I’ve tried using both sets of blades they send with the mower but neither result in a good cut. I’ve never used a mower that has performed this poorly. I’ve been on hold with customer service for over an hour and I have still not gotten through to an agent. My biggest mistake was thinking this brand would produce a good mower. Go with a proven brand, this brand has a long way to go.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quiet

Hello FastEddy412,
Greenworks has been in the lawn care industry for over 20 years and our products are one of the most popular and reliable on the market with an unmatched warranty. We're sorry to hear you're having cut quality issues. We'd like to offer some cutting tips that may help you:
1. Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 at a time. 2. Mow when grass is dry. 3. Mow in the morning or late afternoon to reduce the heat stress on newly cut grass. 4. Alternate mowing patterns each time you mow. As grass develops a grain based on your cutting direction it will lean towards the direction of your mowing path. Changing the pattern allows better vertical growth and helps to keep the cut neater. 5. New or thick grass may require a narrow cutting path. 6. For the best results keep the lawn under 4" in length and walk at a steady pace to allow the blades to cut efficiently.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] surprisingly light and easy to walk behind. with a 25 inch deck and being so light it is quicker and easier on the body to mow the yard. we have a very hilly yard and it has no problems with that either. we are all in now on battery operated yard tools (an all of ours are from Greenworks...) !
