I previously owned a Honda self-propelled mower for many years and switched to a Snapper 80V mower, but I was not happy with the Snapper cut, and some of the features of the mower. The Greenworks 25" Pro 60V has been wonderful. It's very easy to use, and it folds up and stores away in with a very small footprint in my garage. Both batteries that came with the mower can cut my 1/2 an acre lawn with no problem. I've cut really tall 6" grass with no problem. I prefer not to bag my cuttings, and was happy to see this mower does a fine job of mulching the cuttings into very small pieces. My neighbors can believe how quiet the mower is, and after letting him borrow mine to cut his grass, his purchased one for himself. I highly recommend this mower.

This is a fantastic mower. I have only had gas mowers to date and have wanted to make the foray into electric mowers for a while. When my gas mower kicked the bucket recently I made the leap and so far have been very happy with that decision.
Battery life: This mower holds two batteries with an indicator in the handlebar for each that flashes when the primary battery is depleting then flashes again when it switches to the next battery. This happens without any interruption in cutting. I get about an hour out of both batteries together with the self propelled feature on full speed, which just about finishes my 0.5 acre property. I am very satisfied with the life on these batteries, but may upgrade to a 6ah battery in the future and run that plus one of the other batteries and could get a full cut. I recognize my yard is large for an electric mower but still feel it delivers.
Power/cutting: The mower cuts just as well if not better than my gas mower. I think the mulching is actually better and I have less clumps in the yard even with heavy growth. It also does a great job on the thin cuttings from edging my bushes as well and has no issues. I've been avoiding hitting large sticks since I don't want to hurt my new baby so I can't speak to that.
Speed/ease of use: The self propelled function is great on this mower and features adjustable speed. The fastest mode is fast and I have to power walk to keep up but I don't feel the battery takes a hit from doing this and I get my own cut faster. It is lighter than my gas mower and easy to maneuver. The 25 inch cutting deck is the largest push mower I've ever had and makes even faster work of my yard.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with this mower and I'm looking forward to cutting the grass again!

I was worried about getting a battery operated mower, I already has a Greenworks 21" corded mower that I'd been using for 3 years, but my yard added features that made using a corded mower very difficult (trees, flower beds, garden plots, bushes, etc.). I had heard early horror stories of people that got early battery operated mowers that couldn't handle the task. For the record, my lot is 200'x75'. The wider 25" deck makes a big difference in 1 less pass for every 4. The controls are fairly easy to use, one lever for blade control, one for self propelled motion and a sliding lever to adjust the self propelled speed. The unit is really light so once it gets going, it's pretty easy to let off the self propelled and just keep the momentum up (that conserves battery). The handle bars adjust to two height positions to keep it easier on the back. The battery switchover is fairly seamless, only noticeable by a small burst of new power from the fresh battery pack. As long as I don't dally and mow an efficient pattern, I can get my whole lawn done on one charge...about an hour of constant mowing time in all. If I want to take a small break, I'll typically take out the small battery pack and put it in the charger just in case I might need a couple minutes to finish the whole thing. The mower folds and stores compact and it's really easy to clean the deck out before storage. So far, I'm really happy with the mower and am looking forward to buying more tools so I can make multi-purpose use of the battery packs! If I had to give it one criticism, it would be the self-propel, at the end of a run you can't just simply pull the mower backwards as the propel seems to have a positive lock on the wheels, but if you push forward a couple inches and then pull back, it works just fine. Not a big deal, but does take some getting used to. Even if you get too far into an area, the mower is light enough that you can just drag the whole thing, locked wheels and all, back to where you need it.

Great mower bundle! Value priced to include 2 batteries charger mulcher and bagger. 25" deck reduces overall time to mow and dual battery port means you can go for up to 60 min uninterrupted. More power than a gas lawn mower with up to 4500 rpm blade speed and dual blade cutting mulches leaves and grass whether using mulch plug or bagger. Easy to assemble lightweight to use and self-propelled works great with hills and slopes. One touch lever to adjust cutting height is nice and this mower is feature loaded!

I very much like the 25" cutting width and it seems to have enough power.

Wheels are locked while backing up.

When you drive forward and come to the end of a row the wheels are locked when you release the drive and try to turn. You have to drag the wheels locked to turn. While trying to bag a few dry leaves it left have of them behind. When dissatisfied with the mower and tried to return it they said I was past the 30 days because they include shipping times and would not allow the return of the mower.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Papa 13,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are having some concerns. The self-propelled drive system with rear-wheel-drive and variable speed control on this unit has been designed for maximum traction, maneuverability, and control. Self-propelled mowers move under their own power, utilizing a dedicated propulsion motor or a geared transmission running of the main (blade) motor. This reduces the strain of pushing a heavy lawn mower, meaning bigger areas of lawn can be mowed more frequently as the operators are less fatigued. The wheels temporarily lock when the self-propel feature is not engaged for safety precautions, however with a slight push ahead the mower should engage the self-propelled feature right away and get you right back to mowing as desired. We are sorry to hear you would like to return the unit. If you aren’t completely happy with it you can contact us and we can help you set up a return. Greenworkstools.com has a 30-day money back guarantee on all direct purchases, less shipping & handling - taxes not applicable. I've been very pleased with this mower so far (have only mowed 3x). First mow was very early spring, and grass was high, bagged it. Next mow, lowered deck a bit (LOVE the lever to lower the entire mower vs. each wheel independently) and it did great. Both first mows I had to recharge batteries before I could finish, however I mowed for 1.5hrs (estimate). Going down hill, I didn't use assist - uphill I did full throttle. Third mow I did the entire yard (~.5 acres of grass) and did not need to recharge. Mower was easy to put together, and have been extremely impressed, AND as added bonus: I don't smell like gas (mixed with grass/pollen).

I`ve always used a gas mower, but after reading about the advantages of a battery operated one I decided to look into them. I read lots and lots of reviews and decided on the Greenworks label. The limited 4 yr. warranty, so much quieter than any gas mower, 2 batteries, twin blades, and on sale!
