I bought this 3 weeks ago, I have used it 5 times, it is a very good mower for my mostly flat yard. Very quiet, I mowed before 7:30 one Saturday. I have not gone through both batteries yet. The second one is well over 3/4 full still and i am able to use my 60 volt blower with it to blow off the clippings.
New house, new sod, let it grow out a bit to establish roots and all that good stuff. Was able to cut with no problem. Impressive power coming from an electric tool.
I sure wish I went with Greenworks sooner! This product is incredible! No more worrying about enough gas in the can. I don't have a shed or garage and used to cover my old mower with a tarp. I can now keep this new mower in my basement without worrying about gas. This mower is attractive and extremely affordable. An excellent investment! Do it and don't look back!
I bought the first gen 40v mower, blower, trimmer, chainsaw, and the 2000psi power washer 7 years ago. I have used them HEAVILY! No maintenance, and all run perfect. Literally perfectly. Batteries haven't even lost any charge. I also rarely ever write reviews but I want this company to keep on going because when I need to buy more tools, I want to buy Greenworks. Seriously, it's quality stuff, and for a really good price. Buy this stuff not the imitators. The Chainsaw especially impresses and the mower. The trimmer is a good trimmer but not a good edge, maybe they fixed that since the first-gen. Other than that is 5 stars all around. I am not exaggerating. To be fair like I said, except that edger function being anemic on the trimmer, and the blower not being super strong (it's not meant to be) the stuff is great.
I've cut my lawn twice with this, and the cut is good with no noticeable stragglers. Mower is quiet, with really only the sound of the blade the only thing. Cut height is very easy to change, which is a real strong point. Blade is sharp and light.
The only niggle is that the self-propulsion takes a couple of seconds to disengage the gears to the wheel, meaning that you can't maneuver around obstacles easily without having to anticipate that you may need to pull the mower into reverse and release the propulsion lever early. Given the mower's lighter weight compared to my previous gas mower, I will probably not end up using the propulsion as much as I expected, anyway.
Just bought my first house so had to buy my first lawnmower. It was a great choice. Self-propelled speed matches my pace perfectly (I'm 6 foot). Mower kept up with me and the demand of my slightly tall grass. Did .3 acre in 45 minutes and emptied one battery. Quiet mower as well. Wonderful product!
