Love this mower!

I purchased this mower to maintain a small yard area around my rural farmhouse and have been extremely pleased with its performance. I have been searching for a tractor service to mow the rest of my property, but can't find a suitable service. In my frustration I decided to try my mow a driving path to my shed, and to my delight, I was successful! This machine has the power of a gas mower, but is lightweight and very easy to manage for this 63-year- old grandmother. The battery lasts about an hour, and by then I'm ready to rest anyway. 30 minutes for me and the battery to recharge and go again. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

First Use good but Glitches

Purchased 5-9 assembled mower without any problems. Didn't bother with the manual as it only required inserting the handle.
First use 5-12. My yard is 10K sq ft. I was able to mow with single battery charge and still have two bars showing on handle monitor. My grass was not especially long but there were areas more dense than others, and the mower automatically increased power to compensate. I played a bit with the turbo mode. All worked well
The overall work session was shorter than usual. Mower is light and easily maneuverable. I found a comfortable walking speed though that adjustment knob as pretty sensitive.

Overall very satisfied. BUT
One complaint/problem - the mower quit 3 times without any obvious cause. It just died, as if the battery got pulled. First time, I checked everything and all secure and OK. After each failure, mover restarted and work continued. IS there a heat issue? I live in central Florida. I am willing to consider the handle calipers which control the mower may be more sensitive than I expect. I will test this in future work sessions.
It would be annoying if this is a characteristic of the mower. Unsure at this point if it will be sufficient cause to return the product.

Damaged

Received this mower last week. It was clearly a returned mower or poorly packed and shipped. Wires in handle were damaged and handles was scraped up and scratched. This is a simple matter of someone caring enough to do quality assurance before shipping out a product. Companies doing ecommerce owe it to customers who buy sight unseen and good faith expectations of getting undamaged goods. Expected much better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

SOLID quality

I bought the first gen 40v mower, blower, trimmer, chainsaw, and the 2000psi power washer 7 years ago. I have used them HEAVILY! No maintenance, and all run perfect. Literally perfectly. Batteries haven't even lost any charge. I also rarely ever write reviews but I want this company to keep on going because when I need to buy more tools, I want to buy Greenworks. Seriously, it's quality stuff, and for a really good price. Buy this stuff not the imitators. The Chainsaw especially impresses and the mower. The trimmer is a good trimmer but not a good edge, maybe they fixed that since the first-gen. Other than that is 5 stars all around. I am not exaggerating. To be fair like I said, except that edger function being anemic on the trimmer, and the blower not being super strong (it's not meant to be) the stuff is great.

Super well designed

I have been skeptical of electric mowers since the 70's. Of course those were all ones with cords, but they never had enough power. This mower not only cuts the cord but has lots of torque and runs a long time.
My back yard had been neglected being mowed since it has lots of obstacles and the riding lawn mower is a pain to get in an out of the yard. I currently have some Greenworks 60v tools and love them so thought I'd take a shot at this lawn mower. I under estimated what I was getting! 1st the x-range batteries are super long lasting. I did my entire back yard... one hour of mowing and didn't get through half the batteries. Second I like how the mower automatically adjusts to the power needed. In deep grass you can hear the torque being added and the mower doesn't bog down. Third I really like the full options of mulching, side discharge or rear bagging. Basically this lawnmower adjusts easily to whatever you need. The lawnmower is powerful yet very quiet. I'm very pleased and happy I acquired this mower and think it will last for years to come.

Great push mower

This is powerful little mower. It is not self propelled, so all the power is focused right in the blades. The blades made easy work of overgrowth. The bagging system is simple to use and a perfect size. It's exceptionally quiet. It can hold to batteries which it draws from consecutively. This is a nice feature because it doesn't take two batteries to do my whole yard. So, I can pop out the second battery (less used one ) when I'm done and throw it in my trimmer or edger.
Really tough little mower. If you don't need self propelled get this guy .

Amazing Greenworks Cordless Battery Powered Mower!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so impressed with this Greenworks battery-powered lawn mower! As a woman yard work can be intimidating, but this lawn mower has made cutting my grass so easy and efficient. There is so much power behind this mower, even my dad was impressed with the comparison to his gas powered mower. The self-propelled system makes it so easy to control where I am mowing. The turbo button feature helps get through the little tougher areas on my lawn and is super convenient. This mower is a very nice looking machine, sleek and clean with a foldable handle. That makes storing my mower so easy. It does not matter how uneven my grass is before I mow, My lawn comes out so nice and even after using this lawn mower. I was surprised with how quiet this machine is, and I was very happy with how clean it is, no yucky fumes! This lawn mower comes with two battery ports, and has a pretty nifty feature of automatically switching to the other battery if one dies. How cool is it that I just charge the batteries and have a long lasting machine, ready to go! This company offers a great warranty that leaves me a peace of mind. So happy with my new amazing cordless battery powered lawn mower!
