Great replacement for a gas mower

I needed to replace a conventional self propelled mower and didn't want to buy another gas powered lawn tool. I bought this in June and have been using it every week all summer. I have a lawn that's mostly hills, so I needed the self propelled version. It works so well that I can push it most of the time. I only use the self propelled feature part of the time. I get through my average sized suburban lawn on one battery and still have juice left! I love how it folds up in my shed giving me extra room too. My first Greenworks tool was the 60v blower. I liked that so much that I bought the trimmer next. Now since I'm so happy with the mower, I've got the chainsaw and dethatcher on my wish list! Just a great tool family!

Makes mowing easy, even for a disabled guy

Bought this weeks ago hoping for a better mower than my gas one. And this sucker doesn't disappoint at all!
It bags way better than my gas powered mower ever has. It cuts grass just as well. And it's self propeĺled.
I'm disabled due to a "whipple" surgery (I'll let you all look that up) which saved my life from Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Cancer (the same kind that killed Steve Jobs, Aretha Franklin, and the guy who played the rich guy in the first Jurassic World movie) yet it also killed me twice, and left me disabled in many ways.
Living in TX has many perks, except the heat! This mower is so quiet and has a very good headlight on it, making it a great night time mower. Just what a guy who couldn't sleep with more than a bed sheet on him during his 84 day stay at the hospital even though the thermostat was set at 60 around the clock needs! I'm still intolerant to heat somewhat but someone has to mow the yard!
I actually look forward to mowing now.
Thanks to the Greenworks 60V self propelled mower, that someone should be me for a very long while, as I'm only 35!

Couldn't be happier in purchasing my 1st electric mower. Using on hybrid bermuda and even at lowest height on my thick Bermuda it has definitely gotten the job done. Even gave it some stripes

Cuts the grass great, but it has the issue I feared, short battery life. My yard is not large by any means, and I can barely cut it on a single charge, and if the grass is long I cut the back, let the battery charge for an hr, then cut the front. Love the fact it has a headlight, and I can cut the grass at night. ( I work 2nd shift).

Hello Shane P Flowers,
Thank you for your feedback. It is unfortunate to hear that the run time is unsatisfactory. The run time of a lawnmower is dependent on the load acting against the unit and fluctuates depending on the height setting, the terrain, grass height, type of grass, whether you are mulching, using self-propelled function etc - there are so many factors to consider. The run-time of a battery would depend on the load acting on the unit while in use (speed, terrain, unit height, grass height, and density). Please be aware that the more power being used from the lawn mower (i.e. lawn mower speed, terrain, grass height, density, etc.), the faster the battery charge will drain. Here are a few tips to help you extend the run time. 1) Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 of the total length at a time. 2) Mow in the morning or late afternoon to reduce the heat stress on newly cut grass and ensure that grass is dry. Lastly, when the battery is placed in the charger the charger detects the temperature of the battery and will begin charging once it cools down slightly to charge. This is normal operation based on the protection system in the charger. All is operating as intended. We hope these tips will help you with the issue you have encountered, however, if they do not please kindly contact us at 1-855-345-3934 or by email on info@greenworkstools.com. We would be happy to look into this for you.
