Great mower and tool platform

This is a great mower. Replaces a 12 year old gas powered self propelled model. Only cutting on a 6,000 sq ft lot, maybe 1,500-1,800 sq ft of grass. Based on usage, could easily get 2 full cuts out of the battery.
Waited 2 weeks to mow so even the slow growing grass here in the northeast this season was patchy with some tall sections. Set to setting 3, mulched (front yard) and bagged (back yard) nicely cutting the grass into small pieces. Sucked up just as many leaves and maple seeds (more falling now so will hopefully update review shortly) as the old gas model, along with all grass.
Turbo mode is nice if you want to force it up to the full RPMs but in regular practice it senses the thicker grass/leaves/etc quickly, within a few feet, and ramps up to full power and stays on for a bit so it doesn't vary RPMs constantly. I believe it just changes between 2 RPMs, 3,200 RPMs is listed as max on the box. It is a nice feature that no one else has and will be useful in the fall cleanup season.
Self propel works well. It has a good range of speed from slow to fast and satisfies my fast pace as a 6'4" person. The best part is that you can mash the throttle and it won't necessarily dig your grass up because the speed ramps up from slow to fast. It takes a little getting used to but it works well so you don't accidentally dig up areas that you consistently turn on week after week. You can hold down both propel handles but you only need one at a time. I found myself pushing it in a lot of cases because it rolls easily. It does suffer from the same issue a lot of self propel mowers do where if you don't stop using the power and run into an object and you now need to roll back, the wheels lock up. I found it real easy to avoid by lifting off just a step early and other times it didn't lock up at all. For me this is not a negative, I noticed the same when using a competitor in store.
Compared to the other battery powered mowers I was looking at, I prefer the rigidity and looks of the steel deck. The likely small weight penalty does not hurt it in practical use and will likely help when it gets kicked around and stepped on in the garage. The handle is simple to adjust and has less plastic vs the competition which should result in less damaged components. The handle is also more rigidly connected to the deck so there isn't as much slop compared to others I have used, this is a solid mower.
The deck height adjustment is superior to any other I have tried. Other mowers you need to hold the mower down and you see the deck flex a bit. Not this one. You can reach down and adjust with one hand, no flex from the steel deck and you can practically lift it with one finger.
As for using any lightweight mower, make sure the front end doesn't bounce around too much or else you will end up with a poor cut. That being said, this unit is pretty easy to control and keep against the grass in moderately bumpy conditions and I didn't see any consistent deficiencies while mowing, meaning it didn't leave behind any strips of grass uncut and the cut was even across the lawn. That is where even a little more weight, placed a little forward, actually helps.
It easily adjusts to fit short to tall, slow or fast. As much as I like it, I think I enjoy the new 60V string trimmer even more. That is easy to use and has excellent speed modulation that the competition can't match, especially at low speeds. I have an older 40V Greenworks hedge trimmer that keeps working great and while I did have an issue with the 40V blower that was 3 years old, Greenworks support was easy to reach by phone and they replaced the whole unit under warranty. That commitment is what brought me back to looking at battery mowers and specifically to this model over the competition.

Very Disappointing!

I was a huge fan of greenworks, I purchased this lawnmower and could not be more disappointed. I can not get anywhere near 60 min of run time, even with two batteries. Also, I am very surprised that it can not power through grass taller (medium height) grass. I have to bring the height setting up to 3 in order to cut my lawn, if I keep it at 2 it will stop constantly. I am not unreasonable or expect it to cut field grass, just cut my lawn.

Battery Problem

It’s a good lawn mower but the problem with the battery, if you don’t mow your lawn for 2 weeks the battery drains quick no more than 20min with self- propeld so you have to mow every week.

Used 3 times since purchasing several weeks ago. Very satisfied so far. Cuts and mulches very well. Lightweight and easy to maneuver. The battery has lasted approximately 1 hour each use. Would definitely recommend based upon my experience so far.

Super quiet!

I don't have to deafen myself anymore mowing the lawn between a loud mower and music over that! It's a switch from gas, but I figure I'll save on gas in a few months of mowing. And pushing a button to start up beats the spring fight to start the gas mower.

Couldn't be happier.

I waited until I had used the unit enough to be sure. It does all that I need for my relatively small lot, and fully lasts with one battery for the 35-40 minutes that I need to mow it. I used the Hi-lift blade for initial mowing of the taller grass and have now mowed the entire lot to the desired height with the regular blade. It is relatively much quieter than my previous gas mower. Its mostly metal body seems sturdy and is easily stored. The push button start and battery indicator are just great. I am happy to not have a self propelled unit as I mow forward and back, mulching and blowing the cuttings to one side of the lawns. Charging the battery seems to take no more than an hour and the battery holds the charge for the one to two weeks between the mowing that I have done. The headlights are, so far, superfluous but obviously does not drain the battery much. In all, I couldn't be happier.

My first mowing try today. Used the high-lift blade due to very long grass resulting from a long steady rainy period near Houston. High marks for my first impression!

I already owned the trimmer and blower. Sold my Kobalt mower and got the Pro 60V. It has been raining for 8 days straight. I know the Kobalt couldn't handle my small yard with the grass so high. I took a chance and the Pro 60V completed my entire yard, switched over the trimmer with batter power left! Very powerful and did an great job on my yard!
