Lawnmower not made for thick grass!

This lawnmower isn't made for cutting thick grass. I have two batteries, and they both went dead on me trying to cut the back yard. Very disappointed and now I have an incomplete yard.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the run time that you are receiving. The run time of a lawnmower is dependent on the load acting against the unit and fluctuates depending on the height setting, the terrain, grass height, type of grass, whether you are mulching etc - there are so many factors to consider. The run-time of a battery would depend on the load acting on the unit while in use (speed, terrain, unit height, grass height, and density). Please be aware that the more power being used from the lawn mower (i.e. lawn mower speed, terrain, grass height, density, etc.), the faster the battery charge will drain. Here are a few tips to help you extend the run time. 1) Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 of the total length at a time. 2) Mow in the morning or late afternoon to reduce the heat stress on newly cut grass. 3) Make sure that the grass is dry. Good Mower so Far

Bought this mower about 6 weeks ago and so far it works good but I would like it to cut grass a litter more even, self propelled function works good also. So far I like it.

Verified Purchase:Yes
Tighten the plastic fasteners on the sides because they will loosen and fall off. I chose this model so the battery power was being used just to turn the mower blade. It is light and easy to push and I don’t have any hills so the self propelled version was not needed. I do not have the self propelled version.

Cuts better than our gas mower, is lighter than our gas mower, easy to push without self propulsion, 5 ah and 4 ah batteries lasted 80 minutes, low maintenance, very happy with this mower, thank you!

Great mower!

Tuesday night I read the manual for my new mower as I previously had a gas mower. Am I glad I did, as battery powered mowers operately differently. On Wednesday I mowed my grass for the first time, and everything went flawless. I didn’t have to empty the bag nearly as often, as the mower does a much better job of mulching the grass. Also, since I can store the mower on vertically, I don’t have move my car to get the mower out of my garage, keeping my car cool. The best part is no longer having to pull on a starter rope, as these mowers are electric start. I hosed the underside of the mower housing with the mower in the vertical position, so I could see what I was doing and the grass from the underside of the mower was washed onto the lawn, so their was no further cleanup. It felt good knowing I was not contributing to the pollution in the atmosphere.

I have been using this product for a few months. I have 3/4 of an acre and in the past used a gas tractor. There were so many small areas around trees and a smaller front yard, and this lawn mower is so easy, I rather walk the yard a few times a week, than mess with the gas riding tractor. The battery life is fine for the time I allow . I recently bought and used the long pole hedge trimmer with battery that can be used in the lawn mower. I am sold on your products.
