Great mower, even if user error caused some issues

The mower came quickly and was very easy to put together, as a single female this was a great bonus. I have to confess that I'm a new homeowner and have never had to be responsible for lawn care before so I made a few mistakes. First, I set the blade at 2 and proceeded to cut grass that hadn't been cut in two weeks. This was obviously very difficult and meant I ended up using the self-propelled feature often. The battery died after about 20 minutes. It then was so overheated that it had to cool for 1 hour and then charge for 1 hour before I could start again. I repeated this process twice before I finally finished my yard. My yard is about 1/4 acre so I had hoped to do the whole thing on 1 charge instead of 3. I decided to give the mower another shot since I figured that some of the issues were probably user error.
The next week I set the blade at 3 and was able to do the whole yard on 1 charge and never needed the self-propelled feature because the mower is so light weight and my yard is pretty flat.
I've now done the whole yard again on one charge and still had battery left over and the battery was completely cool to the touch when I finished.
I love this mower and I'm so glad I gave it a second chance!

If you understand the power and limitations of batteries this can be an amazing tool...
The complaints you may have read about battery life are unfair. I have a .6 acre property with almost all grass...when its overgrown this mower takes 3 charges to complete the job. If im on top of frequently mowing it takes about 2 charges. It handles the job better then the gas mower it replaced...also if youre using the drive assist obviously its going to reduce cutting time.

Excellent mower. Never had a self propelled mower before so there is a slight learning curve. Easy to operate and set up. Instructions were clear. I'm very happy with this mower and no gas or oil to mess with.

Great mower. Easy to use and easy to store. I have been sick this past year and was struggling with my gas self propel mower. This mower is easy to use and it was a relief that I can manage this mower even after having a serious illness this year. I am very pleased with this Mower. I am already a big fan of Greenworks tools. I started with a corded mower and I now have battery powered blower, trimmer, and this Mower. I used this Mower with a 4 AH battery and it gave me like 50 minutes of run time was enough time to do my front and back yard. Cut quality is comparable to my corded mower which has been awesome. It feels and looks very sturdy - glad to have the steel deck. This should last for a long time as my corded Mower has. I found that Greenworks customer service to be very friendly and operate by keeping their customers in mind. I highly recommend this mower and the blower and trimmer if you are in market for these. They are very affordable compared to other battery powered tools and they come with awesome warranty.

Love it! I’m 66 and it’s great to not worry about gas, oil and spark plugs. Put the battery in and go. It’s light weight and easy to push even without the self-propelled action engaged. Would highly recommend.

I purchased this 3 days ago and got to use it for the first time today. Amazing machine! I would give it 20 stars if possible! Mowed today and this is not a "lawn mower" it is a lawn instrument! Super easy to push so I rarely had to use the self-propelled feature and so quiet too! It actually adjusted blade speed all by itself when I was mowing longer grass! The grass bag was completely packed full and it just wanted more! I have a very large green belt around 3 sides of the house so one battery charge did the 30 x 60 side and the 2nd charge did the other 2 sides with one bar still showing! Simply amazing!!! And the bag pulls out between the handles too! Being able to adjust mowing height on all 4 wheels with just one handle is genius! What had been a real chore with my old gas powered mower is now a total joy! I can't wait until I get to mow again! No gas or oil to worry about and no stinky exhaust fumes either, yay! Thank you so very much for putting such thought into this "lawn instrument"! I am hooked!
