Bad Girst Impression

Mower arrived, without notification, in a crushed box with some tears and holes in it. The box was retaped. I don't lnow of it left Greenworks in that condition or was damaged on the shipping process. I checked the mower for damage. Other than multiple scratches, scuffs, and dirty battery covers, the mower seems dent-free. I put on the handles, charged the batteries to fuil charge and mowed my lawn. The mower seems to work OK, but the 4ah battery was drained after 15-minutes and the mower then switched to the 2ah battery. I am wondering if the 4ah battery is defective. Fifteen minutes of mow time is unacceptable for a fully charged 4ah battery. I am disappointed in the condition of the box and mower upon delivery. I am concerned about the under-performing 4ah battery.

Hello Autumn Grey,

Used for the first time and it worked well. I have a medium size lawn with some thick areas of fescue . Lawn was slightly longer than normal and I was able to get the entire lawn mowed front and back on a single charge. Even used the self propel at times on the hills and thick areas. I'll probably buy an extra battery just to make sure I can get through the whole yard even if grass is a bit higher or I want to use the self propel more next time. The cut was satisfactory too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this mower several times i really enjoy it. The ease of use is wonderful. Also a bonus is extra battery. It works perfect for my small yard, but if your yard is larger the extra battery is a plus! The item is pricey, but you will love it!
Only faults I see: 1. Battery only lasted 40 mins and 2nd batteries are too expensive. Hard to clean after use as you can't spray the dirt off with a water hose. Housing has to be cleaned by hand.
My mower came in horrible condition and was damaged. I was told 10-15 buisness days for my replacement and have waited over 20 and was told to wait another 7-10! Horrible service! I don't care how good your products are you have terrible service and are not worth purchasing!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Ush1012,
Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to voice your concerns. We are very sorry for the delay at this time our shipping partners are unfortunately delayed due to unusually high volume. We thank you for your patience and will continue to proactively improve our processes, so that you can receive your replacement as soon as possible.
Overall like the machine, its quiet, easy to operate and the self propelled is better than my gas mower was especially for hills, vertical storage is a plus and able to mow my lawn on one charge/one battery, small city lot with walk out basement any bigger and would have to use second battery. Some down sides, blade doesn't fill the actually mower deck so if not careful get stripes of lawn that aren't mowed, when stopping self propelled having to push forward before can pull it backwards, and battery level doesn't seem to be very accurate on the handle as it will say empty but the mower continues to run. Overall I am happy with the mower but feel like some improvements could be made.
