This has been a great upgrade from my seven year old initial electric mower. Very happy with the power, design, and quality.

Bought this mower for my wife. The backyard is her domain, she absolutely loves it so far- no more being frustrated from not being able to get the gas mower started and much lighter as well

60V push mower better than my old gasoline mower

Better than my old Craftsman gasoline mower so far. I have had the ability to repair my old mower for many years so I will see if this battery mower will last as long. It cuts better in tall and strong grasses and doesn’t stall. I am sure this is because it can’t flood, but just keeps going. The 60V 5A battery is sufficient for just under 1 hour now but took several charges to get this way. The first full charge only lasted 20 minutes. So give the battery time to break in. I want a second battery but it only takes about 45 minutes to charge and since this is a push mower that recharge time gives me time to rest too and the mower to cool. I let the battery cool for about 15 minutes before recharging it anyway. The mulching blade is nice but I see better battery and power on the side discharge. I haven’t tried the bagger yet as I live in a rural setting and really see no reason to bag and dump all day in this environment.

Mower saved us from noise & fumes!

This is an excellent mower. It cuts well and runs for an hour plus.
It is easy and convenient to use - no mixing & pouring of fuel. It is relatively quiet - not as noisy as a vacuum cleaner. And no gas fumes!!!
The only negative is that it doesn’t cut as close to an edge as prior mower.
Great choice especially if you have solar power!

Mower works great. Seems to be constructed well with a metal deck and linkages for height adjustment. The way it folds up to store against a wall is very nice as well. Lastly, it's unbelievably quiet.

Love the mower, wish I was taller.

I’m 5’2” and the handle is for someone much taller which makes it awkward turning. Everything else is great. If the handle was height adjustable it would be a five.

Battery Life
on May 15, 2021

I just placed an order for the Pro 60V 21" Brushless Self Propelled Lawn Mower and after reading some of the reviews its apparent we have a long way to go on having tools operating on batteries. It appears battery technology is lacking and I should be prepare on returning the battery operated lawnmower and just stay with my gas driven type mower until such time we have better batteries. Will see what experience I will have with this product and write a follow up review.

Hello Big Dawg,

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this lawn mower.
It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life, but it goes without saying that that the harder the unit works, the quicker the battery drains.
Here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time.
1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings.
2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months.
3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily.
4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging.
We hope these tips will help! If not, we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

Couldn't be happier.

I waited until I had used the unit enough to be sure. It does all that I need for my relatively small lot, and fully lasts with one battery for the 35-40 minutes that I need to mow it. I used the Hi-lift blade for initial mowing of the taller grass and have now mowed the entire lot to the desired height with the regular blade. It is relatively much quieter than my previous gas mower. Its mostly metal body seems sturdy and is easily stored. The push button start and battery indicator are just great. I am happy to not have a self propelled unit as I mow forward and back, mulching and blowing the cuttings to one side of the lawns. Charging the battery seems to take no more than an hour and the battery holds the charge for the one to two weeks between the mowing that I have done. The headlights are, so far, superfluous but obviously does not drain the battery much. In all, I couldn't be happier.
