Awesome Mower!

Originally, I wasn't 100% sure about my purchase of this mower or electric mowers in general, but it's been awesome so far. I've got a little over 0.2 acres and I'm pretty sure one battery charge will cut the whole thing as long as I keep it decently maintained. The mower itself seems to be well built and shipping was super fast. It isn't peak grass cutting season yet for Georgia, so we'll see how it really does in a few weeks, but I'm not too worried.
The only con I can think of about the mower so far is that the "plug" in the back for using the mulching function is a little too loose. After mowing, there's usually quite a bit of grass accumulated/stuck around the plug itself - more annoying than a problem though.
I'll definitely be looking into purchasing other Greenworks 60V tools!

Quiet, powerful, lightweight

I just tried out my neighbor’s GreenWorks lawn mower, and was Very impressed. i’ve been using cordless Black & Decker lawnmowers for over 10 years, so I already know about the benefits of no gasoline mower fumes and noise. This lawnmower has many convenience features, which add to the enjoyment of using it. I especially like the self-propelled feature with multiple speeds, the cut control technology, and the light weight of the unit. It cut my yard with no problems. Looking forward to my Black & Decker getting replaced soon.

Eats Your Battery

I have a 1/4 acre yard with a garage, shed, and 2 driveways. Please note that I do NOT use the self propelled option at all. I can't imagine how quick the battery would die if I did. The one battery isn't enough. Thankfully I also bought the blower and trimmer combo (which I actually quite enjoy) that came with the 4AmpHr battery, I need both batteries to finish the job.
After mowing, I do have enough left in the 2nd battery to trim and blow the yard.
The other issue is that there is no suction power at all. The grass that lays flat won't get cut, at all.
I could really like it, but those are 2 MAJOR issues I just can't look past.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello SethD2005,

We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the battery life. The run time of a lawnmower is dependent on the load acting against the unit and fluctuates depending on the height setting, the terrain, grass height, type of grass, whether you are mulching etc - there are so many factors to consider. The run-time of a battery would depend on the load acting on the unit while in use (speed, terrain, unit height, grass height, and density). Please be aware that the more power being used from the lawn mower (i.e. lawn mower speed, terrain, grass height, density, etc.), the faster the battery charge will drain. Here are a few tips to help you extend the run time. 1) Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 of the total length at a time. 2) Mow in the morning or late afternoon to reduce the heat stress on newly cut grass and ensure that grass is dry. 3) Only use the self-propelled feature when needed. We hope these tips will help you with the issue you have encountered, however, if they do not please kindly contact us at 1-855-345-3934 or by email on info@greenworkstools.com. We would be happy to look into this for you.

Great lawn mower

So far, I’m very satisfied with this mower. I live in a townhouse with a postage stamp front yard and back yard. Really, this is too much mower for my needs, but it’s efficient, quieter than a vacuum, and can be stored upright against a garage wall like a stepladder. It even has a headlight in case you prefer mowing grass in the dark…

Hello Kkuhn99 ,

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback on your 60V tool and apologize that you've run into issues with the 60V battery. The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life. Please know that our batteries are covered by the manufacturer's warranty as stated in the owner’s manual period from the date of purchase. Although you are past the warranty period, one of our Authorized Service Dealers may still be able to help with troubleshooting. To find a dealer in your area please contact us once more. We appreciate your longstanding loyalty as a customer and hope this experience doesn't bring it to an end.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very skeptical at first but after using several times I prefer using this over the gas mower. Using this rechargeable green works mower you dont need gas of get a gas, no heat blowing on the engine on my face, this mower is also very light so my wife can also use it without issues plus it's easier to push, selfpropelled is always a plus.this lawn mower is super quiet and it has a built-in mulcher and comes with its own leaf bag. It cut evenly. I finished the entire back yard and still had 1 light left.
PROS:
* Lightweight, Easy to Use
* Quiet
Cut evenly
* rechargeable and battery last longer
