Better than expected

I have about a quarter acre lot and one fully charged battery is sufficient to mow the entire yard. My yard also has a slope but pushing the lawnmower up and down is not a challenge as it is light enough to easily move. The single blade and brushless motor provide a clean quit cut and the grass looks better than either gas powered mower I used.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wonderful Mower

This mower is everything as advertised. I had started with a different brand for my first battery operated mower and Greenworks far surpasses for quality and operational capability.

I have been thinking about going battery for sometime. When my current mower finally gave up the ghost, and being in the lawn business, I figured why not look harder now. So I did and the Pro 60V 21" got my attention. Read more than I needed too about this product and battery mowers but decided to pull the trigger. Great decision !! Works better than I thought, I put the better mulching blade on, glides across my lawn. I have the push mower. Does the work, only use half the battery in most cases, easy to clean and love the stand up feature for storage. Very easy to put together. Cons -- louder than I thought it would be and the battery, due to the cooling fan, is noisy during recharging . I am convinced that this is my future for home mowing.

Bought this thing last year and it barely cuts my front yard I live in a neighborhood on a lot size of 10,000 square ft that includes my house in it. I hate this lawn mower. Was good at first but just slowly got worse

Hello Nope123,

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this lawn mower.
It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life! This unit is advertised as running up to 60 minutes of run-time* with fully charged 5.0 Ah battery, but it goes without saying that that the harder the unit works, the quicker the battery drains.
Here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time.
1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings.
2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months.
3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily.
4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging.
We hope these tips will help! If not, we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

Solid but not as good as gas mower

I like that it's cordless electric and that it uses the same batteries as my weed wacker and leaf blower. Seems well made; build quality is good. I like how comparatively quiet it is. I like that you can fold and stand it upright for storage. The cut just isn't the same, it cuts unevenly and misses sections altogether. My guess is it isn't rotating as fast as a gas mower. I will keep using it as it is a better alternative.

Hello WI Dad Bod,

Thank you for your honest feedback. We are glad to hear you are enjoying the product, sorry to hear about the cut! Streaking is when thin strips of uncut grass are left behind the mower. Uneven cuts or missed section is usually caused by operator error or poor blade maintenance. Be sure that you are overlapping your rows enough to be sure that you get all of grass mowed in one pass. Also remember that when you are turning, it is easy to underestimate how much overlap you should do, so just overlap a little more than you would originally think you should.

Grass clippings can clog up your deck, be sure that your deck is clean to be sure this isn’t the culprit.

Another thing you can try is getting your blades sharpened and reinstalling them, or even getting new blades!

Hope this helps you take care of those pesky streaks!

Should you continue to have concerns please contact our Customer Support at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS), and we would be happy to assist you further in remedying an issues.

It works amazingly well, starts easily, and runs quietly. The battery holds up well for a quarter acre lot.

A solid machine

Surprisingly, a 5ah battery was enough for both my front and back lawn (1/3 acre). Later I tried it for taller and wet grass, but that took two batteries to get done. This struggles with wet grass a little more than my gas mower, but I shouldn't be cutting wet grass anyway so that's on me. A solid machine. I guess electric mowers are finally ready for prime time. (I installed the high-lift blade right away because the regular one was leaving single blades sticking up. Probably a good idea to put the high-lift blade on right away unless you REALLY need the extra battery life.)

All the features I need for my yard.

Had a 17" push mower but with the wet summer and long green grass I traded it on a 21 self propelled model and it is great. It mulches, bags and has a side shoot. Like all three features. Also bought a greenworks power washer and is great for most homeowner jobs. No more hard to start gas tools.
