I am so happy with my new Greenworks lawnmower! I had a really great gas powered Honda, that finally bit the dust. It was so heavy, even though self-propelled. I wanted to “go green“ and so happy I did. This lawnmower is so EASY to use and very light in weight, easy to push. Cuts great. It would be nice if the battery stay charged longer, but it actually works out well for me because I have a big yard and I need a break every 45-60 minutes!
I love this mower! No gas, no oil, no chords to get in my way. Push a button to start it rather than the annoying pull chord. This is my second one. I got one used from a friend who moved and left it behind for me. I bought this one when that finally died. This one holds two batteries and completes the front and back yard. It folds in half and stands upright for easy storage so it takes up less room in the garage. Very happy with this purchase.
The machine is awesome, easy to operate and have not had any problems with it. Have used it three times already, love it so much very quite. My son used it this morning and he also couldn’t believe how awesome it is to operate.
Very lightweight but well built. Cuts surprisingly well and love not having to mess with gas and oil constantly. Batteries hold up for about 40 minutes run time in our experience, but with two it allows us all the cutting we need.
I’ve had this mower for a month now, and I’m thrilled with the performance. The batteries are more than enough to cover my yard, the frame is durable, the mower is light — I’ve never finished a yard so quickly
My new Greenworks Pro 60V 21" Self-Propelled Lawn Mower w/(2) 4.0 Ah Batteries is the best! The push button start is awesome. The battery life on a charge is more than enough and lasts longer than it takes to charge a battery. Weight is light so I don't use the Self-Propelled feature on level or down hill. With rear wheel drive you simply let go of the lever to turn and then reingage it to go again. The speed adjustment remains at the same setting throughout. And it's Quiet. What a great lawn mower!!!
First of all, I love this lawn mower. I have a 2 year old gas powered top of the line lawn mower that's worked great for me. However, because of the size of my lawn (my property sits on 3/4 acre), I wanted something wider than 21" and that is battery powered. I looked at riding lawn mowers but always feel like getting as close to my lawn a possible and sitting, riding around wouldn't do it for me. Enters the 25" Greenworks' Brushless Cordless Self-Propelled Lawn Mower w/ (2) 4.0Ah Batteries and Charger.
I had to get on a waitlist to finally get it, and the price went up by then but it made me more determined to get the machine. To be sure, I was skeptical of the brand since I don't own anything from Greenworks and I have other battery powered equipment that I have enjoyed. However, seeing that mainstream retail outlets carry the brand, I was emboldened to give it try. If nothing else, it'll save me trips to the gas station, frustration about disposing of gas at the end of the season, and help with the climate!
When it came, it was simple to assemble and get going. I charged the battery fully, although it indicated it had sufficient charge to complete a good portion of my lawn. Once ready to go, it took a minute to figure out the controls but quite simple as I felt completely in control after that first mowing run. Having only owned the mower for about two months, I continue to learn more about it. I enjoy using so much that I mow more than once a week at times now because it's more efficient than my 21" mower and no preparations needed to get started.
It's lighter than my old lawn mower and I'm conflicted on whether that's a good or bad thing. Lighter means it is more easily maneuverable with space-saving storage option, but that also makes it a bit jumpy when going over grass terrain that is bumpy, not giving the smoothest mowing look over the grass. But, I don't think twice going over the lawn again because it's fun to do. I suspect that's a trade-of I will accept in light of the other substantial benefits of owning the new machine.
Finally, my yard consists of three major lawn areas which could be about 1/2 an acre in total. This Pro 60V 25” Brushless Cordless Self-Propelled Lawn Mower chews through the yard with plenty of juice left in the 2nd of the two 60V batteries.
If you're on the edge, I'd say go-for-it! You won't regret it.
Package arrived somewhat torn up, one side of the blade casing was dinged and upon start up a raspy metal sound was heard. I had to use a hammer to push back the ding. Other than that the self propelled lawn mower works quite well.
