Decided to make the jump to an electric mower from a gas self-propelled mower that I’ve had for nearly 9 years. I usually cut my grass after work and having to check the oil, add gas, prime it, and hope it starts depending on ambient air temp and humidity got tiresome. Having a mower that I can throw a battery in and go seemed like something worth trying.
Should’ve done it sooner. It’s AWESOME. I’m in action in seconds. It’s quiet - weird hearing the grass being cut. The RWD self-propelled is a lot better than my FWD Toro this replaced - it just goes when I need it to. I don’t use the self propelled function most of the time as the mower is easy to push and most of my property is pretty flat.
What I like about this mower: • Ease of use • Sturdy steel deck • Quiet • Deck height adjustment mechanism is fantastic • The folding function of the handle with no wires or rods getting hung up • Compact in my garage when folded and stored upright • Standing it upright to clean the caked-on grass out of the deck • RWD with plenty of traction and helps it turn while going uphill • 5.0 battery lasts plenty long for me but having another port is nice incase I use my mower elsewhere • It looks pretty cool - color and design
What I don’t like: • High output mode doesn’t seem to deactivate on its own. When it runs into thick grass, it kicks motor speed up, but once through it, it stays at that higher speed. I find myself having to shut the motor off and back on to return to the normal motor speed - which happens a few times while mowing. • No pads on the frame for standing the mower upright for storage. I added my own - I would rather have some sort of rubber pad or something there to prevent scratching the steel bare which will cause surface rust. • The triggers for the mower and self-propel are a little flimsy in feel. They work, but maybe could be better. • The handle bar could be a bit tighter. • The mulching block piece that fits in the back of the deck is a bit loose. • Headlights can’t be turned off - a little thing, I know.
Overall happy with my purchase and I actually look forward to mowing - can’t say I did before!

I haven’t cut my own grass in 14 years because I hated noisy gas mowers. This mower has a battery to charge, just like my phone or laptop! It’s very quiet for such a powerful mower, and dropping in the battery couldn’t be easier.

Just bought my first house so had to buy my first lawnmower. It was a great choice. Self-propelled speed matches my pace perfectly (I'm 6 foot). Mower kept up with me and the demand of my slightly tall grass. Did .3 acre in 45 minutes and emptied one battery. Quiet mower as well. Wonderful product!

Good cut, self-propulsion a little laggy

I've cut my lawn twice with this, and the cut is good with no noticeable stragglers. Mower is quiet, with really only the sound of the blade the only thing. Cut height is very easy to change, which is a real strong point. Blade is sharp and light.
The only niggle is that the self-propulsion takes a couple of seconds to disengage the gears to the wheel, meaning that you can't maneuver around obstacles easily without having to anticipate that you may need to pull the mower into reverse and release the propulsion lever early. Given the mower's lighter weight compared to my previous gas mower, I will probably not end up using the propulsion as much as I expected, anyway.

Bought this a month ago to upgrade my gas powered garden tools, was sceptical this could perform as well but I have been pleasantly surprised, the 60V lawn mower, edge trimmer and blower are good quality, have comparable power but are much quieter, lighter and easy to handle. A winner all round.

The Greenworks PRO mower is a great model, I didn’t take a step back from my gas model and this mower is sooo easy to use. Brings good power and the battery lasts through two mows. Those with larger lawns should consider getting a second battery. I would recommend this product to anyone.
