The Best Lawn Mower That I Have Ever Purchased

Ok let us begin with a few facts; this is not a paid review, I got no discount for agreeing to write this, the comments and photos are all mine, both the good and the bad.
Let’s start off with the best feature first;
1. It cuts really well, and clean, no tearing of the grass. (Plus you can rear bag or mulch as it easy to change)
2. The height adjustment on the deck is super easy; one lever raises or lowers the deck to your cutting height.
3. Ease of Operation, push button starting, dual hand controls for cutting and amazingly easy to adjust the propelled speed. I thought the rabbit and turtle graphics should have been replace with just a simple S for slow and an F, for fast.
4. Starting gets a whole bullet point. THIS IS THE REASON I BOUGHT THIS.
At 74, it was becoming nearly impossible for me to keep pulling on the starting rope, on the gas powered mower, sometimes as many as 20 pulls. It was so bad I had to think about never cutting the lawn again. Then my Son suggested this Green works Lawn mower, he said “Pops no pulling just press the button”. So I decided to try it. And I loved it so much a purchased the Green works Trimmer to go with it.
It is really nice to enjoy doing my yard again, thanks in a large part to Green Works.
I didn’t buy it to save the world, I had a somewhat selfish reason; I wanted a lawn mower I could start.
Let us review the bad;
The only bad; when this bad boy arrives it is one big and heavy box. So I had the driver place it on a moving dolly for me, which really made it a lot easier to unpack everything.
Added Bonus: it stores in so little space in my garage.
Sharing a few photos, Storage in the garage, front and back yard, right after cutting, (the hedges all cut with the Green Works trimmer) and KoKo Boy who loves the lawn right after its been mowed with my Green Works lawn mower. To answer the biggest question, would I buy it again? YES make that a double YES YES.

OK mower

I've used my new mower 3 times to cut my ~10,000 sq ft lawn (~35min). Cut quality is great (I've only mulched) - much better than my 25-year old gas mower. Battery life is adequate - I could probably do it with a single battery, but end up using 2 so I don't drain them too low. I was surprised the handle is so high and not adjustable - I'm getting used to it but it is problematic for my wife. Due to the steel deck, the mower is quite heavy, so I end up using self-propulsion more than I expected on my somewhat-sloped lawn. Occasionally when I pull the mower back, the drive wheels are locked and I have to tap the drive lever to free them up - happens maybe 10% of the time. My daughter has a plastic deck mower that I find much easier to use due to it's very low weight.

Hello Danschy,

Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear you are overall happy with the lawn mower. We would like to take the opportunity to appropriately address your concern regarding the handle height and moving the self-propelled mower backwards. While the handle cannot physically be shortened, it can be locked into two different positions. One position is more suitable for taller individuals while the other is suited towards smaller users. If you are using the self-propelled feature, the mower will attempt to move forward and will be difficult to move backwards. You would have to release the self-propelled lever to pull the mower backwards while still holding onto the start lever.
We hope this information helps you understand our product better. Should you have any additional questions do not hesitate to contact Greenworks at 1-88-909-6756.

Impressed with first battery powered yard tool

So far I'm very impressed. It has plenty of power and is very quiet compared to my gas mower. My yard isn't huge so I can mow everything with just one battery. I like having the ability to use the self propel feature without the blade engaged. I also like how easy it is to fold the handle down and store the mower vertically. The one handle height adjustment is also pretty convenient.

Very good self propelled mower! I mow 1/2 acre using self propelled and it uses 1 and 1/2 of the battery life. Charges fast and is light in weight and fold easily. Does need a cup holder!!

This is a big improvement from the electric mower I had growing up. I was skeptical at first of a battery powered mower but I was not disappointed. I can cut my entire third of an acre lot with with plenty of battery left. As an added bonus it’s quiet and never need to stop for gas. .

Really happy with our new lawn mower, the cut is clean and the self propel feature helps a lot my wife, I am 53 and still can push it but some day I will need it too. This new house has a really big yard so the batteries run out before we finish - I am planning to buy another set to have them ready - highly recommended - very low noise.
