I love this mower! I enjoyed my gas equipment, maintaining it and keeping it going, so lower maintenance was not a selling point for me. However, you can’t underestimate just how much better it is to mow with battery power vs. gas. First thing, no exhaust. I live in Colorado and the wildfires from the West have made air quality pretty bad this year. No exhaust does help when air quality is bad. Second thing, noise. I can’t explain it, but the lack of noise makes it so much more pleasant - and I used to wear ear protection. Third thing, speed. Yes this is faster than my gas mower and the cut is better. Fourth thing, battery life. I have about 1/4 acre of grass to mow and I can easily do my yard twice with the two batteries - I am pretty certain I could do it three times.
I am new to having a battery operated mower. This mower has plenty of power and battery life. I am able to mow my lawn with a complete spare battery in reserve. It handles easy and cuts well. Storage is a big issue for me as I have a small garage. The unit folds in a very compact way and meets my needs. Great purchase.
Generally, I Love this machine. The Battery life is good for my uses and lets me mow my entire lawn on the two included batteries. I have noticed that sometimes the power of the lawnmower and the speed (auto propelled) kind of turns off or slows down randomly without any out-of-the-ordinary load just for a second or two. I also am not a fan that when releasing the self-propelled function, the wheels lock in the forward motion and I can not reverse unless I manually push forward for a bit which unlocks the wheels and allows me to reverse. I'm making due with these quirks and I generally love the machine but buyers should know of these quirks.
