I bought this online a few months ago and am glad I did. It is quiet, efficient, and easy to move around with the self-propelled feature - a boon for a senior citizen like myself. The twin batteries last for more than enough time to complete my entire lawn, and I don't have to worry about gas or oil or spark plugs. The batteries charge quickly as well. The mulching feature is good as well, as I don't have to bag clippings. It also stores upright in my shed, saving me valuable space.
The power and delivery with this mower is exceptional. The option to control speed and being easy to maneuver are a big plus compared to my other Lawnboy. Will keep checking for sales on other green works items.
I purchased the 21 inch 60V Greenworks Pro self-propelled mower about a month ago and have cut my 1/3 acre lawn three times since, twice with the regular blade and once with the high-lift blade. Couldn't be happier! Cut the entire lawn with one battery with the regular blade and was only a few square feet of completing the lawn cut using one battery with the high-kift blade. Amazing! Only issue was that when unpacking from the box, I noticed the insulation on the wires was cut where they come out of the top of the handle. I taped them up with electrical tape and have had no issues. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great battery-powered self-propelled mower, even for a 1/2 acre or bigger lawn due to the two supplied batteries and rapid charger.
It's a cut above gas lawnmowers. It's not as loud, it seems to cut better and it's easy to control. I still had almost a full battery after 45 minutes of mowing. It appears it will last a long time due to the sturdy steel body. Super easy to change the tires for grass length. Plus as an added bonus it hardly takes up any room in the garage because it folds up. I'm very happy with my purchase!
Mower is great, but has some draw backs. When forward drive is released it stops but takes a second to disengage the wheel. The blade that comes with mower does not fill bag but 1/2 way. The high rise blade is better and folks bag. Does my lawn on 1 battery. Easy to use and set up. Dispute 2 drawbacks, I give it a 5*.
I bought the lawn mower last year and have been so impressed with it. It lacks a little bit of RPM so I can't quite get all my leaves picked up and thats the only reason why it didn't get the 5 stars. However, this year I decided to get the leaf blower so I could share batteries and this solved my leaf issue. just finished using them both to get my yard work done this morning.
Having two batteries that automatically transfer once the first battery depletes is nice. This mower easily completes my yard. Cuts well, self propelled mechanism works well.
Second review, still in first year of ownership. We are in New England, have a 1/2 acre yard, mostly flat, with a lot of older trees (Mostly Maples). Grass cutting wise, this unit has been fantastic over the Spring and Summer months. During the past Falls, I typically left the leaf cleanup to an outfit we paid a few hundred too. That meant dealing with a month or two of not seeing the grass. This year, we decided to put the "High Flow" blade to the test just for giggles. Yes, we have to unload the bagger often. Yes, I went over the yard twice with the second mowing slightly lower than the first. Yes, it took more time than simply mowing Yes, I still have leaves to clean out from bushes, beds, and other hard to reach areas. Easy fix And Yes, I had to wait 45 minutes once for the batteries to charge.
Despite all of that, my yard is leaf free for winter. If the last stragglers do decide to fall I will easily pick them up. Our leaves aren't blowing around the neighborhood. What normally takes about an hour took a little over two but the savings this year paid for itself.
Top all of that off with my 13 year old using it to do our neighbors yard, getting paid, and this thing is well worth the money.
