The blades, motor and cutting ability seem very good. It's relatively quiet, compared to a gas mower anyway. The power is enough for about 4" long grass, after that it starts to clog and slow down. Where it struggles is the ergomonics, the two metal bars you have to pull in to the handle are too far apart and uncomfortable to grip. Someone with small hands would have a hard time grasping them both. Also, it doesn't 'release' the drive quickly enough, so you end up having to do some fiddling forward/back pushes to manouver it around things like trees. Design suggestion: get an ergonomicist to redesign your handles, and add smart sensors that detect the motion you're making / direction, and 'assist' rather than 'take over'.

I purchased this lawnmower recently, and I have used it enough to know that it is a great product. The battery life is very good, the self propelled feature is good even on a decent incline, and it runs pretty quiet. I can listen to music at a reasonable volume and not hear the mower. The vertical storage option is also wonderful for reducing the space it takes up in the garage. I plan to replace other yard tools with Greenworks models.

this mower ran for 1 hour and 30 minutes straight, when I didn't used the self propel feature. Amazing battery life and these guys warranty their stuff very good. 5 stars for this magical mower

Have had Greenworks corded mowers for 10 years and loved...other than cord. Decided to try battery version. Have mowed 4 times now and very pleased. Run time is as advertised and gets me thru entire lawn. Smart technology is intetesting. Only issue is when you turn around on cut grass the rpm goes down and if you then plow into high grass have to wait a few seconds for rpm to ramp back up. Just something to get used to.

So far so good! I had only used it once. Fully charged before used, was afraid not enough battery for the whole yard like the other reviews said, have been using manual most of the time, only used self propel when turns and slopey, but got the whole yard done with 2 bars left, very happy with it, can't wait to mow again. I hope this will last for years to come!
