Great mower, not great battery

My yard is a .34 acre lot. I mow my lawn every weekend so the grass never gets too high. Despite this, I can NEVER mow my lawn on one battery charge. It was my understanding that this mower/battery was designed for yards up to .5 acres. That is definitely not the case.

Hello Dan422

We are sorry to hear that you're not completely satisfied with the run time of your 60V 21-Inch Self Propelled Brushless Lawn Mower, (MO60L510). The run time for this lawn mower with a 5Ah battery is up to 60 minutes. The run time may vary slightly depending on cutting technique and the condition of your lawn. We based the run time off optimal conditions-load.
Here are some tips that will help to achieve better run time:
1. Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 at a time.
2. Mow when grass is dry.
3. Mow in the morning or late afternoon to reduce the heat stress on newly cut grass.
4. Alternate mowing patterns each time you mow. As grass develops a grain based on your cutting direction it will lean towards the direction of your mowing path. Changing the pattern allows better vertical growth and helps to keep the cut neater.
5. New or thick grass may require a narrow cutting path.
6. For the best results keep the lawn under 4" in length and walk at a steady pace to allow the blades to cut efficiently
If you would like to contact us, we would be happy to speak with you about the tool and sort out any issues you've been having we can be reached by email on info@greenworkstools.com or directly at 1-855-345-3934.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that I no longer have to buy gas and the convenience of the battery and that I do not have to pay to mow my lawn now. It cuts great and easy to manuever. The light really helps since it has been getting dark early now

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lawnmower is awesome! I love that it is electric (no gas!) but the best part is how quiet it is. Living in Texas, being able to mow early (before it gets too hot) is key, and with this mower I don't have to worry about waking up the neighborhood. It is a super powerful, easy to use mower and I am very happy to have it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My last experience was with an electric mower was years ago and wow has technology changed. This mower has the power and longevity to handle my lawn. If you have a larger lawn, there is the option for a second battery pack. The batteries are expensive but the one that comes with it should last around an hour. There's the option for a little more power when you hit thicker patches. Pretty comparable in power to a gas mower.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So very easy to use!
Battery charges lasts about an hour but that is plenty time to do our yard!
Love not having to buy gas especially since we live out in the country and nearest station is about 10 miles away
Self propelled feature is great, makes the chore of mowing not as much of a chore

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like many other people, I want to try to use products that are better for the environment. I liked that the Greenworks Pro 21 in. Cordless Self-Propelled Mower with 5.0Ah HC Battery and Charger fell into that category. When shopping, I like to know the pros and cons for an items. So for this: Pros- 1. "Greener" product using a battery 2. Easy to put together with only a screwdriver. My hubby put it together for us, and no swearing or loud exclamations were involved in the putting together process, so it was easy. 3. Extra batteries are available to purchase. 4. The self-propelling part works and makes it really easy to do your yard. 5. It really mulches up the grass well as it mows. Cons-1. The charge only lasts about 50 minutes on the battery it comes with, if you are mowing more than just a small yard this can be a problem. 2. Though, extra batteries are available, they are a bit pricey. Overall, for this product the pros definitely outweigh the cons, but if you have a bigger yard the cons are significant.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this mower so much. It's so easy to use and I could do it without the help of my husband. It's lightweight and it uses battery which makes it very portable and easy as I do not know how to maintain a gas operated lawn mower. Definitely recommended for those with small to medium sized lawn. Very powerful and precise cut. Lawn looks beautifully trimmed in just minutes!

What a cool lawnmower!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been looking for a battery powered lawnmower for sometime, and couldn’t be happier we settled on the Greenlawn Pro.
The mower was well packaged and arrived safely, though quite heavy at 82 lbs. Assembly took roughly 10 minutes and is straightforward, but there are instructions should you need them. All you need is a philips head screw driver.
Once out of the box, I got the battery charging. It arrived with roughly half power, so I charged it up to full which took roughly 35 min. To charge from totally empty seems to take around 50 min. I’m assuming its because of how powerful the batteries are, but be aware that the charge makes a whirring noise, Im guessing to keep itself cool. Not a problem, just might want to charge in the garage or unused room.
Once charged up, I inserted the battery in the mower, which was again straightforward, with only one direction the battery fits. I was able to mow my entire small-ish front and back yard on a single charge. The mower is super quiet and easy to maneuver. I used a combination of self-propel on a small hill, but otherwise manually pushed the mower without any difficulties. I tried the mower with both the bag attachment and without, and it works great both ways. The blades are sharp, and seem to really cut up the grass into tiny pieces so the bag doesn’t fill up too quickly. I also ran over some leaf litter as a test, and the mower mulched it up very well and didn’t seem to lose any power doing so.
Overall, couldn’t be happier, and excited to be able to mow without having to check the gas, oil, etc.
