A Mower So Great I Did My Neighbor’s Lawn, Too!

I’ve been using the same lawnmower, an Italian machine called The Harry, for 25 years. The Harry is a beast. It weighs slightly less than an elephant. And for a quarter of a century it’s been a champ. But, like it or not, it was time for a change. My back just couldn’t take it anymore.
Enter the Greenworks 60v self-propelled mower. It’s racing-car sleek, with beautiful lines and gorgeous paint. Leaving the Beast for the Greenworks machine is a little like going from VCR tapes to blu-ray discs. The difference is that startling.
This Greenworks mower is a miracle. The lithium battery goes and goes, and gives this mower substantial power, with the result that my weekly lawn cutting is easier than it’s ever been. Because it’s self-propelled, the mower’s doing all the heavy work. I guide it with a light touch, fooling with the variable self-propelled speeds until I’m practically jogging behind it. It’s so much fun, the first time I used it I laughed out loud for the sheer pleasure of it. And then I cut my neighbor’s lawn. Because I didn’t want to stop.
Now, this honeymoon won’t last forever. I’m not doing my neighbor’s lawn every week. But I know this much: I’ve found my mower for the next 25 years.

Beyond Frustrated

I'm hoping someone can help me. Rarely do I post like this, but I'm not sure what else I can do. I purchased and received the reference lawn mower (approx. 4 weeks ago). Unfortunately, minutes after opening the box, I plugged in the charger, listened to the fan begin, and then promptly heard silence within seconds. I have send multiple emails and have tried calling several times. Each time I've attempted I get an automated response which essentially suggests that someone will be in touch (email) or to call back because the lines are all busy (phone). I'm frustrated beyond belief because I feel like I have little options. If anyone knows of a solution, I'd love to hear it!

Never Again

Other than being quiet, there's nothing to like about this mower. There is no hose cleanout, the handle is too long, it does not like curves and slow is way too slow, fast is way too fast. Apparently they've never read Goldilocks.

Thank you for your honest feedback! We are sorry to hear that your purchase fell below expectations. While the handle cannot physically be shortened, it can be locked into two different positions. One position is more suitable for taller individuals while the other is suited towards smaller user. The self-propelled drive system with variable speed rear-wheel drive lets you easily tackle any terrain and you can operate the unit without the self-propelled feature simply do not pull the lever associated with the propelling feature and the unit will not propel forward.

No service!!!

Don't buy any products from these people! If anything goes wrong you can't get these people on the phone, tries for months, waited hour's on the phone and then gets cut off. I have a brand new mower with a piece of crap battery. I am thinking this is the problem. Really don't know for sure. Cranks for a minute and cut's off like no power.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with this battery. Here are a few suggestions to check out. 1) Ensure that the charger is working. When the charger is plugged in you should see a solid red light on the left to indicate power. When the battery is inserted, the right light should also ignite solid red to indicate that it is charging. If this light on the right is not igniting or is flashing red, this may indicate an issue and we would be interested in hearing more about this. 2) Ensure that the battery has been fully inserted into the charger. Sometimes this requires a firm push into place to make sure that it has been properly seated. 3) Try resetting the charger. To do this, simply unplug it for approximately 10 minutes and then plug it back in and try reinserting the battery. If the charger has been plugged in for extended periods of time, this can sometimes cause the charger to malfunction.

Extremely heavy

I tried using this lawn mower thought it would be easier since it was self propelled. It was not. the mower is VERY heavy and difficult to maneuver.

DOA Battery on Arrival

Purchased mower 9/28/2020, delivered on 10/3/2020. Battery is dead and not charging. I left the mower in the box in case it ends up going back. Are the batteries not tested on a charger before being shipped out?

I HAVE ALL THE 2 STROKE REPLACEMENTS THAT GREEWORKS OFFERS AND THEY ARE AWESOME.
THIS MOWER IS MORE WORK THAN GAS. IT'S INCREDIBALLY HARD TO USE AND DOES NOT CUT WELL. BEST OF LUCK TURNING AROUND.
