This company does not listen to customers

I bought a self-propelled model and the self-propel didn't work. Greenworks will not take my lawnmower back but want to send me another one, minus the batteries and charger, which is the whole cost of the mower. I requested to return the batteries I had to them, but they don't listen and want to send me another lawn mower. Now I'm stuck with a non-functioning lawn mower in my garage that I will have to pay to have taken to the landfill, along with 2 giant boxes to dispose of. I am 73 years old and don't want to deal with any of these issues. I don't know why their customer service does not listen to me and do what is right. I am very disappointed in this experience. They told me it's not returnable because I used it for 5 minutes. What kind of warranty is that?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Firstly, we only accept returns and refunds for new and unused products, in original packaging. All returns must be in the original packaging and contain all original components. Without all the original components, including manuals, nuts, and bolts etc., the return will not be accepted. This information can be found under our return policy. Secondly, we see that you have been in touch and our Experience team have replaced the unit with a tool only version (battery and charger not included) as the issue was with the lawn mower and not the battery or charger. This unit includes a 4-year repair warranty only. In some cases, when a product is damaged or defective, we will arrange to have the unit picked up and returned to our warehouse (at not cost to the customer) so that the issue(s) can be diagnosed, and improvements can be made for moving forward. At this time this was not the case for your issue.

Nice Self Propelled Mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did a lot of research before buying and am very happy with this purchase. This mower does the job.Here is what I like about it:
It leaves a nice clean cut.
Battery life is good, since it has two batteries, you can pull the first out and charge it whole continuing with the second one.
Batteries charge fast.
Self Propelled works great, variable speed control.

New learner cutting grass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this lawn mower a month ago since the passing of my husband thought it would be easy to use. I lost the instructions but figured it out and it is very Good and not hard for a woman to learn to cut grass. recommend

**Warning** Buy a gas powered mower instead!!!

After reading many great reviews I decided to buy this mower. I'm guessing the people who gave those great reviews never owned other mowers previously. I own .25 acres with a large house in the middle of it. My yard is small. The battery only lasts for 30 to 45 minutes which doesn't always allow me to mow my entire yard before the mower dies. In the spring we had some rain so I had to mow twice a week to keep the grass as short as possible because of the short battery span and the battery would still die before getting my yard completely mowed. The mower only has a single blade instead of a double blade, which doesn't cut the best. It allows grass that is laying over to stay laying over and leaves skippers. Also it doesn't pick up leaves when driving over them. Previously I owned a double blade gas mower that would spin fast and suck the grass upright and cut it off very nicely, but not this mower! It looks great and is lightweight but that's now a reason to buy a mower. It does not do the job! Buy a gas powered mower instead!!!

The run time for this lawn mower with a 5Ah battery is up to 60 minutes. The run time may vary slightly depending on cutting technique and the condition of your lawn. We based the run time off optimal conditions-load.
Here are some tips that will help to achieve better run time:
1. Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 at a time.
2. Mow when grass is dry.
3. Mow in the morning or late afternoon to reduce the heat stress on newly cut grass.
4. Alternate mowing patterns each time you mow. As grass develops a grain based on your cutting direction it will lean towards the direction of your mowing path. Changing the pattern allows better vertical growth and helps to keep the cut neater.
5. New or thick grass may require a narrow cutting path.
6. For the best results keep the lawn under 4" in length and walk at a steady pace to allow the blades to cut efficiently

The battery life is to short. After fully charging both batteries in less than 10 minutes they need to be recharged.

Defective Waste Of Time

Dead on arrival!

Waited two weeks for them to get back in stock and another week to get delivered and it doesn’t work. Total disappointment. I guess I should’ve went with that other brand mower they won’t let me say the name of.
