Should Have Bought This Sooner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been mowing my 5 acre property with a Greenworks zero turn mower and using a string trimmer to get all the edges and steep hills. I finally decided to get this push mower for those harder areas, and its completely perfect. It's super quiet, easy to maneuver, cuts well, and can easily handle any hill on my property. The battery life is plenty for me, and being able to mulch with it will be a huge plus in the fall. I don't know how I got by before this, it makes my life so much easier and saves so much time!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first battery operated lawn mower I've owned. It's the 60v duel battery self propelled model. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERY ASPECT THIS MACHINE!!!!! After years of suffering through hard starts, changing oil and filters, storing gasoline, the noise , and the smell I now feel so liberated. Now with a push of a button I'm able to mow my 1/3 acre lawn with power to spare. I never rake and bag leaves. When they dry out I mulch them and rake the excess for composting. Every gas powered mower I have ever owned always bogged down forcing me to continually stop and start movement through the leaf pile. This disruption has never occurred with my Greenworks. In addition, I've never had to access the extra torque feature. The general cutting is so thorough I never have to deal with clumps of cut grass. The mower is super easy to clean above the blades. It's so lightweight I'm able to easily self load it into my van whenever I needed to assist relatives with lawn mowing. The height adjustment and collapsible handle mechanisms are effortless. I even love the color!

We downsized to a smaller house and a smaller yard. We donated all our gas powered lawn equipment when we moved, planning to use a lawn service going forward. After 6 months of settling in we decided to take over the lawn work, and not wanting to store gas in an attached garage, researched electric lawn equipment.
The Greenworks mower has cut our small yard - ~.30 acre - several times, and it does a excellent job. It is much lighter than a gas powered mower, very quiet, easy to push if you don’t want to use the self propelled feature. There’s no pulling the starter rope stuff to deal with, no messy petroleum products to deal with, and it folds into a small storage foot print.

A Real Alternative Too Gas Powered

I purchased this mower midway through the last mowing season after doing a lot of research on the competition. I am very happy with the decision I made. Some of the features that prompted me to choose this mower were: turbo button, steel deck, ball bearing wheels and comes with 2 batteries. Some competitors have a single larger battery but 2 batteries are better since with the rapid charger you can mow perpetually. I was coming from a gas H*nda and was concerned that the Greenworks wouldn’t have the bagging performance of my gas mower. With the high lift blade it does quite well. I am not disappointed. It lacks the suction to vacuum the mulch from flower beds into by bag which is a good thing. Also, the bag is the right width for the standard lawn bags. On my prior mower the lawnmower bag was too wide for standard lawn bags making it difficult to unload efficiently. I really like how it folds up to not take up a lot of space. It is also nice not having to change oil, air filter or worry about the gas going bad. I would highly recommend this mower. My only complaint is the pinch point created if you have 1 hand on the grip when you squeeze the green lever with the other hand.

don't gamble on their battery

Just got this mower last night and right off the bat I charged the battery. The battery was bad, wouldn't take a charge at all. I had second thoughts before I ordered this mower based on previous reviews on the batteries. The 5.0 battery that comes with this unit is not available now and was offered (2) 2.5 batteries from customer service or return the whole mower. I am choosing to return the mower and will look elsewhere for a replacement. Very disappointing experience. Look over their return policy..They do not pay for return shipping.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
