Does A Great Job But I Would Change A Few Things

First the things that I wish I could change.
> For me assembly was difficult for the handle. The side with the cable was assembled poorly and almost impossible to slide into the metal part of the handle. Once I got it in the cable obstructed the hole where the bolt to secure it goes and I have been unable to move it. Greenworks told me to remove the handle and try again, NO!
> The rear drive wheels are hard and pretty slick so the slightest tough lump or slight hole leaves the rear wheels spinning instead of gripping and pushing through.
> There are no intermediate height settings, only full inch increments. If you need 2.5" or 3.5" cut length you won't find it here.
> It has online warranty registration and I can't get it registered because I bought it direct, had to convert the email invoice to a pdf, but then the online registration rejects the off as too large despite it being about 1/3rd smaller than they say the maximum size is.

OK, maybe the gripes are petty, and I am living with them and I give the mower 4 stars for being great otherwise. I'll work around my dislikes. If two of the above items were fixed I probably would give it 5 stars.

Love this mower

I got this mower a week ago, and I look for excuses to cut the grass. I bought this based on the reliability of the 80V Greenworks snow blower, trimmer and hand held blower I have. I had another manufacturer’s push 58V mower, and this self propelled one is better in all aspects. Very comfortable handle position, two batteries make using it a dream. The cut is very impressive without using the turbo mode. Sucks up clippings and leaves for a nice clean lawn. I also like the one handle height adjustment as I keep my front and rear yards at different heights. It’s also nice that it comes with a high lift blade for fall when the leaves fall. I am so happy I decided on this 21 inch mower, love the way it folds for storage freeing up shed space. I highly recommend this mower for anyone looking to switch from gas. Waiting on delivery of the new 700 CFM 60 v blower.

2 months in and i am impressed. Plenty of power, plenty of battery to cut my whole yard with some to spare(standard size subdivision lot). Time will tell if the battery holds for for a few years
My only negative is the self propel does not disengage when u let off.(as in the wheels lock up and will not roll backwards) You have to push the mower foward a few feet to get it to disengage. Gets quite annoying at times.

Very well made, not enough run time

I like the mower. I bought it last year when they were selling it with one 5.0mah battery. I have a 1/4 acre lot with and the 5.0mah is only enough power for about 2/3 on one charge. Thankfully adding an additional 2.0mah battery from my line trimmer gets the job done. But now I can't trim until the battery charges. Charging is pretty quick though. I absolutely love not having to buy gas and very ow maintenance. This thing is so light I barely use the self propell feature.
Needing the additional battery costs this one points in the Cost Saving category.

Overall the mower is good. It cuts through tall grass nicely and the run time is solid.
The self propelled is a little slow for me. Even at full speed I am not walking very fast.
Also-some parts seem cheap and I worry about them breaking. One thing that happened on its first use: a bolt came out that holds the handles into the long handle bars. The wires were damaged slightly as a result. I had tightened those bolts all the way as part of the assembly...

Wanted to try a battery mower as I am 81 and sometimes it is hard for me to start a gas powered engine. Wow was I suprised by ease of using this mower. I mowed a thick grass that was about 5 inches tall. It took me around 25 minutes, checked the batteries and one had one light left, the other was fully charged yet. Very impressing to say the least.

This mower is amazing. so easy to startup, all it takes is a simple button press- Also a single battery covers my entire 1/4 acre lawn with juice to spare.
The vertical folding and storage is pretty neat too.
