I purchased this product a month ago and shipped directly to my door. Easy to assemble, the fast charging had the batteries ready to mow in about an hour. I'm a little overboard with my lawn and take a lot of pride in the quality of my grass. That being said. Everything about this lawnmower is great except for the one job it is supposed to do and that is to cut the lawn, leaving missed grass clumps in almost every pass with new blades. To be able to get every blade of grass cut you'd have to go over your lawn twice. Every time I get to cut the grass which is every 2 days which is my "happy place" within 2 passes I get mad with the missed cut blades of grass.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Jlaw0023,
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your honest feedback. A sharp blade will greatly enhance the performance of the mower. Not only does a sharp blade provide a cleaner cut but it also helps clippings to discharge appropriately. Be sure to check the blades and sharpen them or replace them at least once per year. In addition, mow only when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade, clump up, and will not appropriately discharge. Be sure to clean the deck underneath of your mower as well, any build-up of debris could affect the performance of the unit and prevent proper power. Do not spray water under the deck of the mower. For caked-on grass, use a scraper to get rid of the grass, and then you can use a damp cloth to wipe off and loose pieces. Finish by wiping with a dry cloth and if you have a steel mower deck, spraying lightly with a silicone spray or lawnmower deck spray.
Here are a few other tips as well to achieve the best cut:
1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Alternate mowing patterns each time you mow. As grass develops a grain based on your cutting direction it will lean towards the direction of your mowing path. Changing the pattern allows better vertical growth and helps to keep the cut neater. 4) For best results keep the grass under 4" in length and walk at a slow but steady pace to allow the blades to cut efficiently.
Really enjoying working with this mower. It’s light enough to be easy to maneuver compared to a gas model, and still has plenty of power to do a good job on the grass.
First new mower in about 15 years so was a little concerned about making the switch to electric but overall very happy with my purchase. The larger deck has reduced cutting time by about 25% and the mower is light and easy to use. Took a little time to get used to the variable speed but plenty of power with the 4.0 Ah battery. Using the charger and switching between batteries allows me complete lawn without having to take extended breaks. The self propelled model does generate some noise but much quieter than a combustion engine. Glad I made the move to electric.
I wanted a small size mower that was easy to maneuver, easy to store, yet still powerful for a good mow. This mower is perfect. I am happy with the purchase.
I’m a single 72 year old lady who can’t start a gas mower. That frustration led me to a battery mower. Thank goodness I found yours!!! It’s so easy to start, cuts a clean line (and level on my rough Montana lawn), and glides right along so quickly. No problems! I will now save lots of yard care costs and still enjoy a margarita as I mow. Thanks!!!
My old mower, 6.5 up I used >20 years. And mulch ed leaves every fall. My main concern with the 60v Greenworks mower was will it have enough power to mulch all the leaves. It came with a 5AH battery, and I picked up a 2.5AH just to be sure I could finish. Turns out the Greenworks mower munched the leaves beautifully. Only reason I gave 4 not 5 stars, normally I blow the grass. And the deck output would spread the clippings a little better if it were angled up another 5 or 10 degrees. But that's pretty minor. The mulching is great. Note to Greenworks, save some $$ and make the bag attachment optional. Being a good mukcher , I don't bag at all.
