Second review, still in first year of ownership. We are in New England, have a 1/2 acre yard, mostly flat, with a lot of older trees (Mostly Maples). Grass cutting wise, this unit has been fantastic over the Spring and Summer months.
During the past Falls, I typically left the leaf cleanup to an outfit we paid a few hundred too. That meant dealing with a month or two of not seeing the grass. This year, we decided to put the "High Flow" blade to the test just for giggles.
Yes, we have to unload the bagger often.
Yes, I went over the yard twice with the second mowing slightly lower than the first.
Yes, it took more time than simply mowing
Yes, I still have leaves to clean out from bushes, beds, and other hard to reach areas. Easy fix
And Yes, I had to wait 45 minutes once for the batteries to charge.

Despite all of that, my yard is leaf free for winter. If the last stragglers do decide to fall I will easily pick them up. Our leaves aren't blowing around the neighborhood. What normally takes about an hour took a little over two but the savings this year paid for itself.
Top all of that off with my 13 year old using it to do our neighbors yard, getting paid, and this thing is well worth the money.

I did so much research on battery powered mowers I can’t begin to explain. It was SUCH a relief to find out all of my research paid off! This is a solid built powered mower, steel deck, light for easy movement, dual batteries are wonderful…the list goes on and on. I love the upright storage. And it’s quiet as can be!

This is the First mower for us to purchase after buying our first home. We are immensely grateful we live in a time of battery powered lawn systems! We are so impressed with the mowing capability, set up, ease of use, storage and quality of the products! My wife was so thrilled, we immediately purchased an edger and blower after the first mow! Each product has a subtle sound footprint as well not to disturb the neighbors. Be sure to get the self propelled mower and properly match up the right battery with the other yard accessories. The customer service was helpful in this because it is not a one battery for all system which is understandable and reasonable for the various sizes of tools.
Yardwork was supposed to be my responsibility but now we both enjoy using the products!

Great mower with Great features

I bought this mower at the beginning of the summer. I have a decent sized urban yard, bigger than most that come with new homes. I mowed front, back and sides using the self- propel and it never had to switch over to the second battery. I'm amazed at that! It has lots of great features. You can operate with either hand and switch back and forth. You can run the self-propel w/o starting the blade, so you can run it back to where it is stored when you're finished. It is quiet so you can mow w/o disturbing people in the house or your neighbors. The charger is very fast and shuts down automatically when done. Not having to mess with the gas and oil and not having to breath the fumes and exhaust is Great! And being able to easily store it in the upright position saves lots of space (see photo). I could go on but in summary this is a great mover!

I have been a satisfied Honda HRX mulching mower user for over 20 years, so when I decided to go the rechargeable route for a replacement, I admit I was just a bit skeptical. However, it only took two mowings of my yard, and a little getting used to the Greenworks features, to make me a believer. The impressive power and the relatively light weight proved to be extremely pleasant surprises. In fact, the lighter weight left my lawn looking much smoother without the tire marks that inevitably come with the weight of the old gasoline engine. Once I got the cutting depth zeroed in, and changed to the high lift blade to enhance the mulching efficiency, in my opinion, the cut was every bit as effective as my gas mower. And, the charge provided by the double battery combo was ideal for the size of my yard. I'm now looking forward to the spring season and the weekly mowings to verify and further enjoy the initially positive impressions of my new mower.
