I love this machine! I like being able to pop the batteries in and off I go. The mower is very quiet, I noticed I could still hear the birds in the trees while I was cutting the grass! No gassing up, no oil changes, jut plug in and go! The batteries take ~ 1 hour to charge fully and I am able to mow the full yard twice on one charge. My property Is small ~ 7,500 sq ft. There is only one minor drawback for my personal taste. On the highest deck setting the mower cuts the grass a little shorter than I would like. I prefer to keep my grass ~3 in in length and the highest setting cuts to ~2 in in length. Not a deal breaker though. Happy with this purchase!

I have a fairly large lawn so I was concerned a battery powered mower wouldn't give me a long enough run time. My lawn could take 1-2 hours with my old gas 21" mower depending on the grass length. So far (early spring) I've only drained one of the batteries during a single cutting. This bodes well for a thicker lawn as we move into later spring. I also love the vertical storage and lightweight for pushing. The self-propelled drive works great too. If the batteries last me several years I'll be ecstatic!

I’m glad I made the switch from gas to this electric mower. It’s so quiet and has no issue mulching my yard. The self propel switch feels a little flimsy and gets stuck here and there, but not a big enough issue to take a star away. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to make the switch.

Great mower! I am able to get the whole yard mowed with the 2 batteries and a little help from me leaf blower battery. The self propelled speed is better than expected.

It does exactly what the description says it will. Super easy to start. Long battery life. Stores on its side, no gas to buy, use or smell. We love our new mower.

Got the opportunity to use this mower for a month (cutting lawn four times) and a leading competitors that sells for the same price. The Greenworks PRO was inferior by far. Grass was often nocked down and not cut in spots (brand new blade), mulch was thick and clumpy, and the battery ran out before I could finish my sub .25 acre lawn. I was able to mow the same lawn 2.5 times with competitors same size battery. After actual side by side comparison, I'd say avoid this brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello znova,
We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this lawn mower. It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life, here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time. 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily. 4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. 5) Only use the self-propelled feature when needed. We hope these tips will help. We would be happy to carry on this conversation to offer some additional suggestions, if you are willing, please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

Received mower with damage to the box and to the aluminum handle on one side. Had to reshape and bend with pliers in order to get it to fit during the assembly process. Other than that, the mower is definitely an improvement over my gas mower. I'm able to cut both front and back yard (.18 acre) on just one charge with power to spare using the dual batteries. Self propel speed adjustment is great but with a slight delay to react when handle is engaged. The mower is also definitely quieter than typical gas mowers. Time will tell how long the mower and or the batteries will last. Overall I'm glad I can begin to move towards a more green future and minimizing my carbon footprint. Of course having this Greenworks mower makes that transition much easier and even pleasurable.
