After owning the mower for about 2 months, I am very pleased. The batteries will cut my yard with about 2 lights remaining on one. This is true after using one battery with my trimmer before mowing and using my blower after mowing. I would describe my yard as an 'average suburban size lawn'. It's not small, but not huge either. My only negative would be that the wheels lock when moving backward after using the self-propel feature. You need to move it forward slightly after stopping to unlock the wheels. It's not a huge deal, and I'm getting more used to it now, but it can be annoying. It's been great so far - time will tell. Hopefully, the batteries will last a long time.
I purchased this mower about one month ago. Overall a good mower and worth its value. However, there is no side shoot. Due to this, you have to use the bag feature or the mower gets clogged within two passes. If you are not a bag person I would not buy this mower. If you are a bag person it is a fantastic mower.

Hello Nick from PA,
Happy to hear you are enjoying the product and are glad you had some pros and cons to share with us. We use information like this and work with the various teams within Greenworks to market, design, and sell the products are customers want or need. We would love to offer some tips to help care for the tool and accessories. For best storage practice the lawn mower should be stored somewhere dry and protected from the elements, such as a garage or shed. If you have no other choice but to store it outside, keep it elevated above the ground and covered with a durable tarp. When the battery will not be in use, store it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. Store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we recommend charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life. If it ends up that you are having an issue with the lawn mower, please contact Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934, and they would be happy to assist you further in remedying an issue. Thank you for choosing Greenworks Tools for your lawn care needs!
Just arrived and easy set up! Didn’t miss one beat or cut and batteries never quit! I now own 4 pieces of GW equipment and soon to be more! Well done GW as this mower is the best I ever had!
this 17" mower has great power, does a fantastic job cutting, but the all plastic construction did not last the first mowing, the height adjustment does not hold and drops down as you mow. customer service has been great about refund and I'll try a 21" mower with a metal level for height adjustment

Used it a few times and it seems to run well. But the instructions for turning off headlights are essentially to turn off the machine. How do we run the machine without using the headlights?
TL;DR I would recommend this mower to anyone with a small/moderate yard. Extra batteries will make the job easier.
I’m not one to write reviews but I figure it’s only fair at this point.
I’ve been slowly compiling an arsenal of 60v tools, and recently picked up this mower. I was out of town when it arrived, and decided to mow the in the afternoon after a morning rain. I attached the high lift blade (wear gloves and have a stop block handy), and I’ve gotta say I was pretty amazed at the results. I had quite tall grass which the mower cut down to the 3 setting with ease. I switched batteries once, just over halfway through, though I believe if I was cutting in dryer conditions I could’ve made it further.
Using the mower itself: PROS - PRO The self-propelling function is nice, but not always needed as the mower is surprisingly light. - PRO This thing is quiet! I usually wear ANC earbuds when mowing, and it wasn’t until 1/3 though that I realized I hadn’t popped my buds in. Very impressed with that - PRO being able to rinse the mower with my hose while standing it upright was exceptionally useful. Also being able to store it upright saves a lot of floor space. - CON Turning the mower isn’t the smoothest operation, and it’s the only thing keeping me from giving this mower 5 stars. Having a slight pivot in the wheels would help a lot but I’m sure it could lead to issues.
OVERALL: This mower is awesome.
I’ll add here because I am thinking of it now; the battery storage cover on the mower soft-closes in a very satisfying way.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am an 87 year old retired professional engineer. My wife and I will celebrate our 65th wedding anniversary next week. She’s like the energy bunny and still mows our lawn. We recently replaced our self propelled gas powered electric start mower with a Greenworks 60V self propelled mower. Gas, oil changes, and problems with the automatic chock on our old mower became to much trouble for us. I was skeptical, but finally felt that the battery technology had advanced enough to make the change. We’re quite pleased with the trouble free performance of our Greenworks mower. It was a good change for us.
