Excellent mower

I love my new GreenWorks Self Propelled Cordless Mower. I can easily do my entire yard and only use half of the battery. Starting the mower is so much easier then my old gas mower. Easy to clean by tipping over and no spilled gas or oil. The only thing I would like is an easier throttle for the self propelled. It would be nice to have a more active hand controlled throttle where it goes faster the harder you squeeze. The slide throttle isn't as useful for quick changes. I do love that the self propel works even when the blade isn't turning. It's up hill to my shed so it's much easier.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works as stated

Doe's what it is designed to do. Do not use on wet grass, because it will bog down and not be as efficient. Wet grass sticks to underside and hampers the mower. Takes me about 2 hours to mow and can do it with the 5 amp and 4 amp battery even using the self propel on up slopes. Hedge trimmer and blower are very good. The hedge trimmer works better than my electric corded one. Batteries are way too expensive.

Efficient and fairly quiet. It's a step-up for me to have a self-propelled mower and I like it. But the machine and battery are much heavier than the 19" Greenworks mower I've had for 5 years.

Good mower but damaged upon arrival

I just moved into a house and needed a mower. After reading reviews I decided on Greenworks. The unit arrived with the box heavily damaged, and there was a broken plastic piece that I couldn’t figure out what it went to at the time. After mowing two times I have since found that the plastic cover on the inside of the wheel is what was damaged in the box. If Greenworks makes this right I will be happy to adjust this review.

Overall like the machine, its quiet, easy to operate and the self propelled is better than my gas mower was especially for hills, vertical storage is a plus and able to mow my lawn on one charge/one battery, small city lot with walk out basement any bigger and would have to use second battery. Some down sides, blade doesn't fill the actually mower deck so if not careful get stripes of lawn that aren't mowed, when stopping self propelled having to push forward before can pull it backwards, and battery level doesn't seem to be very accurate on the handle as it will say empty but the mower continues to run. Overall I am happy with the mower but feel like some improvements could be made.

Solid but needs the extra battery

Picked this up as I don't want to deal with gas anymore. I have a slight hill in my backyard and a decent hill in the front, but the property is under .3 acre with a decent sized house and/patio/3 car garage so not a lot of grass. I have to use 2 batteries to get though the cut as well as not using the self propel feature a lot of the time. Cutting/mulch is great, but I bought the self propel so I don't have to push, but if I use that I will drain the battery just cutting the back.
