Powerful Motor w/ Long Lasting Quick Charge Batteries

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how strong and powerful the motor is. The turbo button makes getting through tall damp patches easy. The batteries last a long time and they charge back up very quickly. I like that the mower accepts 2 batteries at once and only drains one battery at a time. The self propelled functionality is great for my teenage sons. The self propelled functionality behaves differently than gas mowers. There is a delay from when you let go of the self propelled lever and when you can roll the mower backwards again. There should be more handle position adjustments.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a 50 year old disabled male,I’ve had 2 hip replacement surgeries and 3 wrist surgeries plus 18 inches of small intestines removed, this mower is quite possibly the best mower I’ve ever used and owned, the push to start is a back saver and the power is instant and incredible. Thanks for making this great product,I’ll definitely be recommending this to anyone looking for a great mower.

Hello LeftyEd.
We are sorry to hear of the issue you are experiencing with your 60V Mower. There are a few reasons this may happen. 1. The newer design lawn mowers have a built-in safety switch at the bottom of the handle. If the handle is not locked in place properly the mower will not start or stall out after a few seconds. 2. Battery aliment. Check that the battery is correctly connected to the battery compartment. Open the battery door. Align the ribs on the battery with the grooves in the battery compartment. Push the battery into the battery compartment until the battery locks into place. Lastly, startup is often a common reason the mower does not start. To start the unit. Pull back on the green handles while simultaneously pressing the (green) start button, please note the blades will turn off if you release the green handles.

Disappointed

I purchased the 42 inch riding mower in 2023 and have been mostly happy with that ( great mower, bagger, not so much ) so when the 12 yr old Honda gave out, I needed a push mower to do my borders and other smaller areas. I purchased this 21 inch self propelled hoping to love the ease of batteries as I do the tractor. The baterries are great on this mower but the overall handling is absoultely awful. The back wheels will not release from the self propelling, its very difficult to push without engaging the self propel system...just overall frustration unless you are in the long straight away paths of cuttiing. Seems the mower is all about getting check marks on features but the actual ease of use and reason you purchased it to begin with are not important. Really enjoy all the other GW tools I use but this mower is severely lacking.
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver

Hello Tom2025.
Thank you for taking the time to review our product. The self-propelled drive system with rear-wheel-drive and variable speed control on this unit has been designed for maximum traction, maneuverability, and control. Self-propelled mowers move under their own power, utilizing a dedicated propulsion motor or a geared transmission running of the main (blade) motor. This reduces the strain of pushing a heavy lawn mower, meaning bigger areas of lawn can be mowed more frequently as the operators are less fatigued. The wheels temporarily lock when the self-propel feature is not engaged for safety precautions, however with a slight push ahead the mower should engage the self-propelled feature right away and get you right back to mowing as desired. We hope this helps. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In just a few weeks this mower has saved my lawn—was having problems for 2 years with an old mower. Plenty powerful and navigates hard, clay soil very well. Well worth the investment already.
