I purchased the Pro 60V brushless 21" self-propelled lawn mower with 2 4.0 amp batteries. I am a 73 year old female and hoped it would be easy for me to use. My 11 year old grandson used it and then my 15 year old grandson. They both had no issues. Started it and started mowing. Finally it was my turn. I loved it did my whole yard about 1/3 acre with 3/4 of one battery used. It mowed down everything in sight. I was surprised on how quiet it was. Now I want to purchase the weed trimmer and leaf blower. I give the mower 5 stars. Greenworks is the best !! Margaret H in CT

Hello Margaret H,
Happy to hear you are enjoying the product! We would love to offer some tips to help care for the tool and accessories. For best storage practice the lawn mower should be stored somewhere dry and protected from the elements, such as a garage or shed. If you have no other choice but to store it outside, keep it elevated above the ground and covered with a durable tarp. When the battery will not be in use, store it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. Store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we recommend charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life. If it ends up that you are having an issue with the lawn mower or you need help with product recommendation, please contact Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934 and we would be happy to assist you. Thank you for your feedback!

It covers 0.3 acre lawn without a need to change battery. The self propelled feature is especially helpful for uphill lawn. Very satisfied with this product.

Powerful mower gets through my whole lawn on a single charge. Self-propel is great but it’s also lightweight which means I barely ever need to use the self-propel function now! My lawn looks healthier than ever and I will never go back to gas!

This is my first lawn mower that I ever owned. And it’s just great, very quiet no hassle with gas and yet is still a strong machine. Definitely recommend.

Love this mower, the only complaint is that it tends to bog down in heavy and/or damp grass. If you live in Florida, you might wait 3 - 4 months to have dry grass to cut. When it stops you need to raise the height adjustment and start again, it will clear out and you can lower it and go again.

Ease of use but..........

I'll start off by stating I bought the 80v self propel model last Black Friday (2021) & I love it. This Spring I decided to get the 60v 21" (while on sale) for my dad's house. While the mower cuts the grass just fine there was an issue with the self propel drive system. I found the self propel drive motor clutch would not disengage 99% of the time. I found the clutch assembly was not assembled correctly at the factory. After assembling the clutch correctly, the self propel system works correctly. I then reached out to a friend of mine who was experiencing the same issue with one of his 60v self propelled mowers. He bought one last fall to use & another this spring because his wife wanted to help cut their large property. I found the one mower to have the same issue with the clutch where it was not assembled correctly from the factory. I repaired the mower, I then checked his second mower & found it to be correctly assembled & no repair needed. That's a 66.6% failure rate for this model mower. See the attached pictures.
You'll notice in the pictures that the one centrifugal weight is not properly installed. The weight should be slid over both pins.
If you read through the reviews there are plenty of complaints about the self propel drive system not disengaging. While I have recommended this model & the 80v model to friends (who have purchased a GreenWorks mower) I have them bring it to me to check the clutch first.
I gave the "Quality" portion of this review a "Poor" rating due to the clutch problem.

No replacement high lift blade available

I have had this lawnmower for 2 years and while mechanically it works fine, the standard blade that comes mounted on the mower is pretty useless at picking up any type of leaves. The high lift blade that comes with the mower is needed to pick up the leaves and use of turbo mode which eats battery life real quick, not an issue if you have multiple batteries like I do. What’s amazing, while they include the high lift blade with the mower, they don’t offer a replacement, and have no idea where to get one. If you are just cutting grass and mulching and you keep your grass short you may be ok, otherwise look elsewhere for a mower if you like to bag and leave your lawn a little higher. If the high lift blade was available for replacement I would say this mower would be a good buy.
Pros: Durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cheap handle controls

Bought this mower for my son. After setting it up notice the cheap plastic handle controls. If you accidently happen to hit those plastic controls they will snap off. Happened to get a look at Makita's battery mower, solid metal handle controls. But, then again the Makita mower is twice the cost. Will see how long they will stand up.
Pros: Quiet
