Bought this mower based on the solid construction, features, reviews, but most of all on the dual batteries. All batteries in my experience run empty quicker than advertised. My small yard (1/4 acre) can be done on one battery if mulching. I was cutting thicker grass with leaves, so bagged. Went into second battery for 5 minutes. The mower cut the thick stuff well, and the features like turbo, the battery meter, and dual batteries were well worth the upgrade to this mower.
Loved how easy this is to set up and get started. I was mowing in no time. Also loved how light it is - which makes it easy to maneuver and push. Still, I'm glad I purchased the self-popelled version as that got me out fo the tight corners in my yard even though I didn't need it on most of my lawn. And finally, I was surprised at how quiet this is. Very nice to be able to listen to an audio book while mowing the lawn. I'm quite happy.
After fairly extensive comparisons, we narrowed down our search for an electric mower to the 60V Greenworks. The combination of run time/battery power, and features made it really stand our from the other options. We've had it a few weeks, and so far it has been an absolute champ. We have a large area to mow (about 3/4 acre), and it does consume about 3 batteries, but the charging station refreshes quickly, and we've not experienced any lapses in our mowing time. Simply pop one battery into the charger, and keep mowing with the other. The initial assembly was easy, and it arrived in perfect condition. The controls are very intuitive, and the ergonomics are reasonably adjustable. Love the headlight as well, in case you want to do some "night mowing"! It's quiet, plenty of power, and a real pleasure to use.
Comes with two blades; mulching and high-lift. The high-lift blade is excellent at collecting leaves and bagging. The self-propelled feature is a strong, brushed motor with comfortable speed adjustment. The two 4Ah batteries provide enough to complete a full-sized lawn. And the dual-charger with cooling fans is magnificent as it charges both batteries under 1:15.
I am a 73 year old lady whose husband has Alzheimers (fairly early stage). I am trying to get myself set so I can take care of a large corner lot. I didn't want to have to deal with gas and oil so the battery was the way to go. I also needed it to basically move itself, which this does. I like that it is easy to maneuver and the battery makes it easy to mow without a mess. I haven't had it long because I bought it in February and there's not grass cutting yet but I did take it out a few times to get the feel of it and see how the speed and power worked with me and my power and speed. I think we will be best friends.
So far, so good. Had the mower about a month and have used it twice to pick up dormant grass clippings and leaves getting ready for the Spring. It did a great job and is very quite and easy to maneuver .
