I like the mower. I bought it last year when they were selling it with one 5.0mah battery. I have a 1/4 acre lot with and the 5.0mah is only enough power for about 2/3 on one charge. Thankfully adding an additional 2.0mah battery from my line trimmer gets the job done. But now I can't trim until the battery charges. Charging is pretty quick though. I absolutely love not having to buy gas and very ow maintenance. This thing is so light I barely use the self propell feature.
Needing the additional battery costs this one points in the Cost Saving category.
Wanted to try a battery mower as I am 81 and sometimes it is hard for me to start a gas powered engine. Wow was I suprised by ease of using this mower. I mowed a thick grass that was about 5 inches tall. It took me around 25 minutes, checked the batteries and one had one light left, the other was fully charged yet. Very impressing to say the least.
The 60v 4ah dual battery setup is the confidence i need to complete the cut

Not bad Greenworks, welcome to the game. The 60v self propelled lawnmower with 2x 4ah batteries does the job with confidence. I no longer fear that I will run out of battery power during the cutting. I have a half an acre to cut each week, and I find that I'm mostly using the first battery only. And I know that if I end up missing a week, using the Turbo button for the taller grass through out the mowing process won't keep me from finishing the cut. Hoping for the best, eager to see where this goes. Best Regards
I have borrowed a neighbors a few times and finally have one of my own. Great power, good cutting, and long battery life. Excited to sell the old gas mower at a yard sale and not worry about all the maintenance r
Got the opportunity to use this mower for a month (cutting lawn four times) and a leading competitors that sells for the same price. The Greenworks PRO was inferior by far. Grass was often nocked down and not cut in spots (brand new blade), mulch was thick and clumpy, and the battery ran out before I could finish my sub .25 acre lawn. I was able to mow the same lawn 2.5 times with competitors same size battery. After actual side by side comparison, I'd say avoid this brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello znova,
We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this lawn mower. It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life, here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time. 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily. 4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. 5) Only use the self-propelled feature when needed. We hope these tips will help. Have used this new lawn mower twice. Overall, I am satisfied with the work it performed. A single 4.0AH battery can finish most of my backyard (around 0.25 acre) with self-propelling feature on (the turbo button was not pressed). With the second one, I can complete my work w/o recharging. The self-propelling mode helps, but the speed may not be as fast (I already adjusted to the highest possible speed) as I had expected when it run over the lawn. The LED light is on when you run the mower, regardless of the lighting condition (it could be a waste under daylight). With battery-powered lawn mower, I can mow my lawn in any pattern I wish for, which was not possible with a corded one.
