Go Green(works). Drop that gas mower asap!

What my new Greenworks 60v mower does that my old Honda mower doesn’t:
Helps me mow faster. It’s wider than the other one so I spend 1/6 th less time mowing.
One lever adjusts the height for all the wheels. Basically a two second adjustment.
Grass does not stick up inside the mower deck even when I’m mulching wet grass.
My hands don’t smell like gasoline when I plug the battery in!
It is significantly lighter than the Honda so the self-propelled function isn’t even used half of the time.
It is so much lighter, making maneuverability is a breeze.
I should have done this YEARS AGO!

Bought this mower about a year ago and it has performed as advertised with two batteries and I can cover my 8000sf lawn without running out of power. Very reliable and quiet. Thought it was cool to be able to finish mowing in the evening with the headlights on too. I would recommend this machine to anyone who wants dependable equipment.

My absolute favorite thing is how easily the handle folds down so that the mower takes very little space in the garage. I’m a 70+ year old woman and I find the mower easy to start and maneuver. Seems to be more powerful than my old gasoline mower.

I was skeptical about getting a battery powered lawn mower and I recently got this one delivered last week.. It was easy to set up. I also enjoyed the weight and look of the lawnmower, looked very sturdy and well built. It included the 5amp battery with the fast charge, it lasted around 35 minutes on a single charge however charging it was super quick.. from low to full charge in around 40 minutes. I love it, Hoping to get another 5amp battery soon!

Cut quality suffers with electric mowers!
on April 24, 2022

I bought this last year, cutting my lawn for a season with it. Two things buyers should know about: In an effort to maximize battery life, greenworks and other electric mower manufacturers have reduced the lift on the mower blades. There is less suction to lift up the grass to cut it and/or bag it. Even with the high lift blade, there is a lot less lift than a gas mower. So what happened to my lawn over time is, the grass gets bent over sideways instead of properly cut to length. It's especially noticeable this spring, it looks like a comb-over. In addition, when the lawn is the slightest bit damp in the morning, the grass clippings rapidly collect on the inside of the deck, so I need to clean the deck after every cut. I was hoping to enjoy a quieter and less polluting alternative to gas, but I'm going back to a gas mower and also one that is self-propelled!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Andy1976,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with the cutting performance with your lawn mower. When the lawn is being cut uneven, this can indicate a few different things. The first being that the lawn itself is rough or uneven. However, if this is not the case then it is possible that the grass is too tall, or the cutting height is set too low for the type of grass. Try raising the cutting height and reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months.
We hope these tips will help. If you would like to carry on the conversation or have any warranty needs, please contact Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934.
