Self Propel Doesn't

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cuts really well, however the self propel quit working after 10 minutes and will not re-engage. If I wanted a standard push mower I would have bought one instead of a self propel. The blower works very well. Have yet to try the string trimmer, hoping it works as well as the blower.

1. Start the machine.
2. While you hold the start handles, grab either of the drive levers and pull towards the handlebar.
3. Hold the start handles and the drive levers at the same time.
4. Release either set of start handle and drive lever from the same side.
5. Adjust the speed control with your free hand.
• Slide the speed control button in the direction of the Rabbit Symbol to increase the speed.
• Pull the speed control button in the direction of the Turtle Symbol to decrease the speed.
6. Release the drive levers to close the self-propel system.
To engage the self-propel drive system while the mower is not running:
• Press and hold the start button, then pull up on the drive lever . OR • Pull up on the drive lever, then press the start button.
Here is are a few troubleshooting suggest to try and get your mower working again. The operator handle can be cycled from the closed stored position to upright operating position. Try folding the handles down, then firmly fold open the handles to the operating position. The handles need to be fully extended for the mowers to operate correctly. The bagger must be fully seated (installed correctly) for the mowers to start.
Hoping these tips will help resolve the issue, and if they do not we would like to hear how this occurred. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really enjoying cutting the lawn again! I cut about 1.5 acres of grass and can get nearly all of it done with 6 batteries although 8 would be perfect. The machine is so quiet compared to the gas alternative and even after engaging the blades you can still listen to a podcast or ball game while mowing if you're using noise cancelling ear buds. The mower handles tall grass easily and the elimination of belts with direct power to the blades is a game changer. I'm not fond of the bagging attachment receptacles however. They're a mesh bag as opposed to rigid plastic and are somewhat harder to dump. That's the only fault I've found so far.

The cutting is very even and the mower will run faster than I care to ride it!! Tall grass doesn't cause the blades to bog down at all. Battery life is fantastic. My property is fairly flat and one acre in size. This machine mows the entire yard and still has 76% battery life left. It's quiet (no hearing protection necessary) and POWERFUL. I'm so glad I decided on this mower.

Love this mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Starting season 2 with this mower. I mow appx 3 acres. I have 762 hours logged. It takes me about 3 hours to mow the entire acreage. I use 3 batteries at a time, and charge 3 batteries. This way, I always have battery power. When I used 6 batteries, I had to stop to recharge before I was finished. I have a spare set of blades that I keep sharpened. Changed them once last summer after hitting a few ticks. Will change them at least once this year. Love that I can wear my regular headphones while blades are engaged. I pull a heavy duty utility cart when doing yard work. Use the little storage area in the back when picking up trash and road debris while mowing as well as twigs and branches. We have other Green Works tools and are looking to add even more

Should be called greenworks stall

I hate this freaking mower. Batteries last 20 minutes if lucky. It stalls every 10 feet. Takes me 3 batteries with a break to charge them to mow my lawn. And I don't have a big lawn
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The lawn mower has a built-in safety switch at the bottom of the handle. If the handle is not locked in place properly the mower will not start or stall out after a few seconds. Please unlock and fold down the handle and pull it back up until it clicks in properly.
