Not a indestructible as advertised. After several drops one of the left side clips broke off. Tried a rubber band to keep it on but that was not safe, phone slipped our. New clip is tight and I hope strong.
I love Otterbox products. I always use one on my iPhones to protect my valued investments from breaking. I can't tell you how many times I have accidentally dropped my phone in parking lots after jumping out of the car, forgetting that I had put it on the seat while driving and swept it out as I got out, and it hit the parking lot. But it NEVER got broken. The Otterbox cushioned it EVERY time! The reason I bought a holster by itself this time is because I bought a new phone and the one time I had a problem with an Otterbox was MY problem because I caught it on my seat belt while jumping out of my dad's truck too quickly and it got caught and snapped the holster and broke it.. My new phone is a little bigger than my old phone and I'm REALLY having to be careful about that seat belt again....I figured I'd go ahead and buy an extra holster.....just in case.
I’ve always carried my cell phones in a holster of some sort. This works great for holding my iPhone X in its Defender case. Ones I’ve had in the past have always broken by catching it on a seatbelt. The newer ones seem to hold up better. Only reason I had to buy this one was because I left one in a rental.
Every phone since my IPhone 5 has been in a Otter Box Defender case. When I change phones, my old phone looks brand new. Can’t convince me to use any other case. My IPad 2 is in an Otter Box case too.
I love the feeling the Defender Series gives me when handling my phone. The non slippery feeling, the I won’t drop this phone feeling. The quality of the product makes it last a long time. Every phone or pad I buy I will be buying a otter product for sure.
My wife and I have used the Defender series case and holster for several iPhones. I have had no problems whatsoever. My wife on the other hand frequently breaks the holster, and always around the clip anchor area where the metal rod is secured. I have had to acquire several holster for my wife.
I would like to suggest that the company engineers, designers and quality control personnel investigate ways to strengthen the holsters.
