I've been using H & R Block software since they began making it available. I am grateful that at 79 years of age I am still able to download the software each year and grateful that I still find the H & R Block software easy to download and use.

Seems competitively priced – I use the desktop version. It’s generally easy to use and definitely takes a lot of the work out of filing taxes. One thing that could be improved upon would be making it easier to make changes after you work through the various questionnaire-type screens. You often have to navigate through several screens all over again, just to make a simple change.
Something I like is that you can look at the specific forms before filing, as a way to verify things. But from what I can see, you can only look at one form at a time. That’s another improvement I would like to see.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Software works exactly as expected. However, I believe it is unfair and frankly ridiculous that the user is charged to file the state return considering I paid for Deluxe plus State. I will think twice before using H & R Block for my taxes next year.

I've used this software since the 1990's when it was Kiplingers. Never had a problem with tax preparation, filing or payments/refunds.
