I have used HR BLOCK software for as long as I can remember. It always me with a return that I feel confident in forwarding to the IRS. And I will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.
My only complaint is that for two years I get an annoying pop up when I turn on the program that says the internet is not available. I am forced to close down my McAfee virus scan and then restart Block. I use Windows 11 on my Dell computer. In the past this was not an issue. A google search noted that this is a problem on MANY computers. I would hope that this issue gets resolved with proper programing in the future. However if it is not fixable then provide clear instructions in the program how to overcome this issue.

Used this software for many years and every year the download has been improved and the software is more transparent with clear background info and instructions at each step. Efiling has always been great. My only complexity in filing is a foreign government pension.

I bought this product becuase I have been a user for many years. I tried switching to other products before but the swithcing costs are too high. I have too many years invested in H&R. It has become easier because of the ability to import te previous years data. It does some basic validation to prevent obvious errors. I do like the interview style approach of completing teh tax return. It woudl be nice if te softwarecould perform a deeper analysis of a users tax situtaion after all the years of data accumulated and offer more personalized suggestions than just open an IRA..
