The software this year did not recognize the I as an I, but instead recognized it as a 1, so my energy credit for installing a new heat pump kept getting rejected. I called and mentioned this to support they said they were not aware of a problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought Deluxe-State in December, and I was able to do Fed, but then I had to call a person t get the State downloaded. Also the Update procedure did not seem to work: download, continue, repeat, repeat.
Entering number was OK, but planning for estimated taxes did not give any ES forms.
Also the calculation of pers prop taxes on cars for State did not show up, so I had to guess at the value o the Fed form.
Returns were accepted, but I have no idea if the retiurns are correct.

Ilike the software and have purchased it many times. My only complaint is that it is hard to navigate around. It is also difficult to find some credits, such as electric vehicles and solar
