I have been using H&R block tax software for years, actually started when it was called Tax Cut, at any rate I like the federal and the state. It does a great job, takes the complications out of filing taxes for ME!!

Having a horrible time trying to fil out information, program doesn't play well with humans.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been using H&R block for several years. It is a reasonable software package for doing taxes. Our taxes are moderately complex and it handles what we need it to. However, there was a distinct step downhill this year as the application went over to an AI Help interface rather than the traditional interface. It literally responded to every question with something like "I'm sorry. I can only answer tax questions." to queries like "How do I deduct state sales tax." I found the help worse than useless because it wasted my time asking simple questions it couldn't answer, and then I had to go and dig into the bowels of the application to find my own answers anyway. I believe we ended up with our taxes being correct, but it was harder than it should have been and harder than it has been in the past.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
