I am a first-time user of H&R Block tax software. I previously used TurboTax but made the switch when the latest edition of TurboTax required Windows 11. Also, the Deluxe version of H&R Block had everything I needed to complete my tax return. TurboTax required that I use their Premier edition to complete my tax return. The H&R Block software allowed me to import my last year's tax return, was easy to navigate, offered clear directions, and was easy to input information. The text was not always easy to read; it was small and somewhat blurry. The text should be a larger size and sharper. Saving a PDF of the tax return was sometimes challenging. When I did save it, the entries looked faded, although readable.

I’ve used H&R Block tax preparation software for several years. I find it to be quite easy to use. The step-by-step filing process is fantastic and the Help information is really great. Also, I particularly like the Audit feature of the software. It prevents one from submitting a tax return with erroneous information.

There was nothing "Deluxe" about the screens, which appeared basic and were something of a grind to move through. As with last year's product, it didn't accommodate differentiating between the required RMD amount, the QCD amount, and the net/taxable amount.
When I needed to create an amended return due to receiving a 1099 after already filing and receiving the refund, the process was challenging, confusing, and frustrating.
I cancelled the automatic ~renewal for this product. The product is too problematic.
