Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

The software failed in preparing the state return properly by not effectively incorporating the new tax law changes for the state. We ended up having to amend the return.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

The program does the job, and it has excellent functionality. I have been using it for over 20 years. After all that time my eyesight is no longer the same and that is why I suggest incorporating a zoom in feature for each form. Other than that, everything else is just great including prices compared to the competition.

I used the H&R Block Deluxe software for the first time to file our 2025 Federal return. The program was easy to learn, use, and file electronically. I entered all my data manually and did not attempt to download any of my tax forms and integrate them automatically. It was time-consuming, but I knew it was accurate. The AI-powered Help feature was useless. It was not able to answer any questions I asked.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
