H&R Block software is the best. I've been using it for years and it never disappoints. Provides step-by-step instruction, asking questions that pertain directly to you. The current version has an AI option which I found was not very helpful.

2025 Software is unstable

I've used HR Block home tax software for years, and found it very useful and easy. However, this year's package keeps changing numbers and text labels most of the time when I save the return or update the software. With much frustration and endless verification passes I finally managed to file the federal and NY returns. However, I don't have much confidence in what was sent.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been using H & R Block software for years. My Federal and State returns were accepted quickly. The sidebars offer additional explanations to the prompts. They are very helpful. Tax Identity Shield is offered as an extra service. I purchased that and have had ongoing problems trying to activate it. I do not recommend that service.

I prefer the downloadable version so I hope you keep making this available. I tried switching to your on-line version and was very disappointed. I've been using the download version for quite a few years and when I went to try the online version, it required that I re-enter all my information. It didn't or could access my previous years taxes so I'm not a fan of the on'line version
